I gave Sindra some armor, then a little while later, some different armor. Also gave her a better bow and some arrows. While visiting home, Sindra would not let me check her gear. She would say 'Sure!' then nothing would happen. Once we left the house she left me check her gear. Everything I had given her vanished. Is there some permanent Sindra equipment glue?

That is very puzzling. I also gave Sindra a better bow and some armour. She has let me check her gear while at home and since then, she still has the items I gave her.

I haven't heard this before and I am at a loss as well. Have Sindra follow you, and cast a reset spell on her. See if that helps.

I'll test various things with her tomorrow. It's darned aggravating in that I gave her my PC's legendary enchanted Wolfcry armor and a legendary elven bow.I actually gave her Auriel's bow but reconsidered and took it back. I'm glad I did.

Have you by any chance used a follower overhaul on her, like My Home Is Your Home or an overhaul that gives her new wardrobe options?

Have you by any chance used a follower overhaul on her, like My Home Is Your Home or an overhaul that gives her new wardrobe options? No. I have Amazing Follower Tweaks but I don't use it at all. I should unload it I suppose. No home mods at all. Clothing mods but hadn't given Sindra any. We picked up a job and Sindra at the BC. I equipped her with armor and told her to stay back and use spells. Stopped by Windhelm. Went to Solstheim and finished the Ralis dungeon. Went to Skald village. Then back to Windhelm. Made our way to Heljarchen? Hall, unfurnished, then to Whiterun. Performed at Drunken Huntsman. A rather odd venue. Stayed overnight at Breezehouse. Went down to Riverwood the next day. Swam in the lake some then to Lakeview Manor. In Lakeview Manor, a rabbit turned up. Got Meeko, and a stray. Leifer dissipated when I debugged the game which is okay with me. Had to walk on the table to get past the critters and people half the time. Told Vilja and Sindra to relax there then did an 18 hour stint alchemy, Enchant, and smithing. Vilja and Sindra went outside for a while. When they came back in Vilja went to bed in a single bed and Sindra parked at the foot of it. That was when I tried to access her inventory, got 'Sure' then the menu refused to change to her inventory. Sindra had also switched from her armor to her BC dress. Next day told Sindra to make herself at home (stay there) and went out. Got on horses, rode a little way then noticed Sindra following anyway. Got off horses, checked Sindra's inventory and was permitted that time and found all the goodies were missing. And another little OOOPS!! Right after doing in a dragon Vilja asked for a hug. Right after the hug she stayed in combat mode I suppose for about 3 seconds. During that time Sindra warped to right behind her. Vilja drew her swords and walloped Sindra once then put weapons away. Is Sindra immortal? I've been forced to set Vilja immortal and wonky as it is, Sindra needs to be as well since the weapons Vilja and PC are wielding are now exceptionally lethal. Another little quirk. Telling Sindra to stay out of fights turns her into a dragon squeaky toy. If you go mess with a dragon it takes off, circles, and usually selects Sindra for dinner. So Sindra runs around like she's out of her mind, the dragon chases her and since she was hanging back from the fight, Vilja and PC have to go chasing across the landscape to catch them. So it's safer to keep Sindra with the PC.

"Squeaky toy" - Good one! Incidentally, it does seem from what you describe that there's more going on to affect Sindra than just her inventory. I've not heard of any problems with Lakeview Manor. Do you use any mod that might affect following behaviour?

Vilja will get a bit twitchy when exiting Lakeview once in a while. I don't think the markers are proper when exiting the back door. She runs back in and exits the other door. Has happened a few times.

The armor and weapon she managed to lose seems to be gone for good. I can't think of anything that went on that could be related to this. Just her and Vilja noodling around the house while I enchated, smithed, and did several major inventory rearrangements. Maybe a corrupted list in the house and her going out and back in? By the way, is there any way to get Sindra to stop following and just stay out my house at Lakeview? BTW, Sindra wearing the 38DD steel armor looks completely ridiculous. I need to get Tindra some too.

Or maybe it was something to do with her going in and out of the house as you suspect. Let us know if it happens again and in what circumstances. If Sindra is following you, you should be able to tell her either "wait right here" or better still, "Stay here and relax". If she is following Vilja you don't have those options, only "Return to the Bard's College for now", so you would have to ask Sindra to stop following Vilja and then ask her to follow you. I can tell my other girls who are following Vilja "Wait for Vilja right here" but that isn't an option for Sindra in my game.

Obviously something I have missed and never realized. I'll fix that up.

I had meant to report it but I'm afraid I got distracted and forgot, but I'm glad you have picked it up.

Just what is required before you can get Sindra as a follower? I've never been able to get her to do anything but play and sing when visiting the Bards College.
Never mind. I found out by myself, doing the performances - doh.

Dunno if it's related but I had given Serana a dragonbone sword which she really liked, even with the Nightingale Blade in her inventory. Then I noticed she had the Nightingale blade equipped; when I checked her inventory, the dragonbone blade was gone! I had to reload an earlier save to get it back. I may have overloaded her weight capacity and she ate the (equipped) sword - that's my guess, anyway.
