So Dova mentioned me making new parts for a certain mod and after thinking about it I decided I would do that but first start with some building kit parts I wish Bethesda included. But figuring out collisions and all that so I started simple and made some Whiterun interior walls. One more wall set to do for Whiterun then floor and ceiling parts that do NOT have both floor and ceiling allowing for more customization. Then some beams that have end caps and floor/ceiling parts for making 2-3 story constructions without a paper thin floor or invisible edged. Next I think is the farmhouse kit that I despise. Remove the wood posts and make those separate parts and all that fun stuff and maybe make them %100 modular, but those will be some work. Thank you Dova for making me do some work! Not like I didn't have anything better to do lol.

No problemo, I will make sure you get a raise in reasonable proportion lol
but seriously, it's a great idea that you are making modular resources

That raise better be worth it! lol Last walls for Whiterun, plaster on top and wainscoting with chair rail.

AUUUGHHH!!! DOVA!!!!! You made me do this... Bottom Floor: Ceiling/floors. Highest one is when they are stacked so you can see through the boards to the floor above, lower one is for when a basement extends past the outline of the house and you see rocks between. the boards. I am quite happy with these even if I have no clue if the collision works. There are 3 pieces per floor part. 1 middle piece and 2 ends. the ends are for the edges of the room or if you added a hole for stairs. they line up with my walls quite nicely too so should line up with all walls from the Whiterun interior kit that are normal sized.

Testing in the game to see if the collision is good and yup no falling through floors or between wall edges and the doorways work... ignore missing doors, bad lighting, and bad ladder alignment. Looking down at the floors is pretty cool to see between the boards and what's under them same with looking up. So many solid floors with so few you can see through. The post next to the steps is the inside corner post for using the outside walls Normal 4 corners of a square room and the walls naturally make a nice seam but then the walls are cornered the opposite there is a gap and a nice solid post works good to cover that gap and is nice to have as a support beam. But unlike many of Bethesdas support beams it has faces on all sides so it can be used in other ways. Interesting thing about the thickness of the floors is they do not stack well when snapped to a 64 grid, maybe drop snap to 16 when stacking multiple floors but my goal was to be able to have multiple floors and easily put the steps in someplace with no odd gaps between floor and ceiling. The majority of Bethesdas stuff has missing faces like the loft floor in Breezehome the board can only face one direction or you have to put something on the edge that has missing faces. Real pain in the butt covering stuff up that you didn't know needs covering... and those few faces wouldn't have killed the games performance either.

Last parts of the Whiterun kit And starting on the modular vaulted roof parts for the farmhouse. The logs are not finished, just placed where they go. end caps will be deleted and they will be sliced in half so they are over the ceiling joints, but that's a final step really. Still need to make the floor parts and upper level walls too. *Edit 2 corners down and the middle parts can be done in minutes by deleting the wall part leaving just the ceiling. A bit of mirror and the other 2 corners are done.. Hardest will be the new corner that will allow T or L shape farmhouses. Yay for UVW mapping a ridiculous amount of wood posts lol.

Vaulted ceiling parts done, just needs collision, All snap at 64 units. Next is walls and floors so exterior farmhouses can be stuck together at 90 degree angles to make different floorplans other than the rectangle Bethesda forced us to use. None of the parts I am making snap from anywhere but the center of the mesh, Unlike Bethesda who chose to put walls off center so if you rotate them they would move across the room instead of spinning in place. Highly frustrating if you decide to search and replace a wall and the new one is turned another direction and you rotate to correct but then you now have to move it as well. Seriously Bethesda Pivot point center of object and ground level, NOT offset and middle like quite a few items! Git yer poo together! *Edit Interior free walls will have a triangle wall that can be placed ontop of one of the square ones so the walls can be made to go all the way up to the ceiling or left as half walls. Making a divider with the kit they gave us was not fun! Stairs will be like the Whiterun version and wide enough for 2 NPC's to go up and down at the same time as well as NOT have a follower stop on it and block your way. There will be 1 half floor part so the stairs can be placed like the vanilla kit on the left end, or if you prefer on the right end or in the middle. But the half floor parts can be left out and you can rotate the stairs 90 degrees and have the stairs against the front or back wall. Will include railing like I did for the Whiterun kit so you can put a railing around the hole regardless of where you put the stairs, Safety first. I may make a porch kit so you can make a porch. 64x64 unit and 32x64 unit floor and roof parts. Roof part having a 10 degree angle. a variety of beams to hold it up. 64 and 32 unit tall both round and square. Capped at both ends as well as can be stacked seamlessly unlike some of the ones Bethesda gave us. Wood or stone Beams are quite handy when making things and you can never have too many.

Will there be wooden stairs like the one from Dragonsreach? I don't know how the original piece look like nor do I know if that's already modular.
Porch kit definitely sounds nice.

Steps from Dragonsreach. Hmmm I'll need to look those up but I know they are not modular. Dragonsreach is a mess as far as the kits concerned. It looks like they made it all in one piece then chopped it up randomly into nif files then put it all back together in the game. I wont ever attempt to put it together myself if I wanted an interior that's the same, I would clone the cell then delete everything but the architecture lol. But exactly which stairs? the ones in the entry? In front of the Jarl? Steps going to upper floor? Stairs in the Jarls chamber cell? Stairs to the basement? Stairs where you capture a dragon? Lotsa stairs in that cell. Farmhouse Floors. 1 set has stone on top for areas that are not stacked, one is see through between the boards for stacked levels, and one set has stone underneath for the basement floor. Then there is a deck piece because I had all the parts and why not. and last is a flat stone piece. Hmmm how about Swimming pools? 1024x1024 units, sandstone or the exterior stone for the inside texture, steps on one end, several levels of depth starting at shoulder height if you sit on a chair then shoulder high when standing and last about the same height as a wall? Nothing fancy like a modern pool. *Edit One of the walls I keep talking about... With floor piece and vaulted ceiling. Ignore the missing inside corner post, you really see it but you imagine it is invisible. Stop imagining lol.

The one's going up to the Jarl or going up stairs to the military map, they should be the similar design style.
Swimming pool? Do they have swimming pool back then? I was thinking more like a hotspring with wooden platform somewhere leading into the water, and sitting markers/chairs in the hotspring.
p.s. now I thinking of all the building things from Sims 3. (modular beams and columns for grapevine porch covering, foundations and half steps...lol, too much work)

Many cultures had baths(pools) of some sort or another, most were public. But that's not the point, the point is people are making them out of various kit parts for houses so why not make one for someone to use if they want a pool in the house? This is a mod resource I am making and not just for myself or Wolf.
The trellis part and beams for a grapevine covering would be easy enough but the vines themselves? A little much for me, I hate making plants and they always look like crap when I am done with em.
Now that I took another look at that screenshot I may make an A,B,C, D version of the walls and move the UVW on the wood panels in each version so it tiles less if you mix them up when building. Same wall just moved UVW. I know that tiling is less noticeable when the rooms are not empty but still I think it would be an improvement. Just cant do that with the posts on the edges. 5 minutes work? Yeah I will do it.

12 Walls, 3 wood sets, 4 of each for less tiling... *Edit Need a doorway to get into the farmhouse, got ya covered. 3 doors down, 1 for each wall type.

ah, much like the Romans and their baths. That's a weird separation in my head between the Greeks and Romans vs Norse, it never clicked. Beams and columns of different thickness would be nice, and they allow for much more architectural creativity. Plus, I am sure there's a hanging moss that will do the trick.
