Hi, this thread is about the quest of vilja. Is there a way to skip the ingredientes?

In a thread here about this problem, Emma suggested skipping days (presumably by resting) so that you talk to Vilja somewhere in the countryside roughly every twenty four game hours, and she should find an ingredient each time. Loriel

Well, there IS a way to skip the ingredients quest, but if you do, you will miss of course something.
If you really want to do this you can talk to Vilja with Traveling together...\Off-topic - Configuration and Settings\We have already done (some of) your quests! Then in the Bannered Mare in Whiterun there will appear a slightly oversized lady called Beata. Talk to her about the bottle quest. Now you can set whether you have found the ingredients on your quest. You can also set that Vilja has found all ingredients on her list, but as I said before you are going to miss contents.
It's really better to stick what Loriel said. Just go on adventuring with Vilja on the countryside and now and then she will find her ingredients and come up with new tasks for you nearly every day.

Wakey!! A triple espresso under Wolf's nose please. Or slide this thread over to Skyrim?

Yeah, I knew this thread is in the Oblivion section and the question concerns Skyrim Vilja. But I'm not sliding authorized . I don't think it matters much here in the Oblivion section. Thanks for the espresso anyway.

Is it Vilja in Skyrim or Vilja in Oblivion? Vilja in Skyrim will work like Wolf says. Vilja in Oblivion - best and easiest is to just wait the way Loriel says. You can also go to Cheydinhal and cast the Vilja attackspell on the greenhaired dunmer Heneri and this will give you a chance to change where in the questline you are.

I used Vilja for Oblivion. I have tried to use the method of Loriel but it doesn't work. I can rest all the days that i want but vilja doesn't say anything about ingridients

Are you using a mod called Cheydinhal Petshop? It screws up the global time variable for the whole game, and ruins the Vilja mod as well as all other mods that have quests that are time based.
I recently read about that a custom face for another companion, Fergus, oddly enough had the same effect. I havent investigated how this could happen yet.
So, if you use any of these two, that is the problem, and the problem is persistant and might affect other parts of your gameplay, too.
If you don't, the problem is likely that you are resting in an area that is not considered as "wilderness". I.e. if you rest so close to a city that it is considered as the city outskirts, you can wait for an eternity and Vilja won't find any ingredients. Go out in the wilderness, and she really should find the ingredients very soon.
Note: it's is not enough that you just wait with the T-key. After the waiting, you should let approx 40 seconds pass. Then, repeatedly talk to Vilja and she should very soon greet you by saying that she has just found a new ingredient.
