I restarted Oblivion after Emma waxed lyrical about it once more. And once more, my character, as if obeying the tides, drifts inevitably towards the Colovian estates and highlands to pick flowers and enjoy the scenic vistas. Some 30 hours of gameplay with a forced detour to placate that horrible green haired woman in Cheydinhal and neither Vilja nor the PC can do more than walk under their mutual load of herbs. Is anyone else addicted to the Colovian region?
Since I'm being studiously ignored by Emma anyway.... Why is Heneri in Chaydinhal? She would be much much much more at home, going by her habits, personal grooming and hygiene, and personality, grubbing about the waterways of Bravil, periodically turning up some rancid horror when she isn't fishing for brown trouts over by the castle sewage overflow.

Since I'm being studiously ignored by Emma anyway... ? Emma has been busy lately, I don't think there's any ignoring going on.

I also revved up Oblivion after a long layoff to try Vilja. My complaint about Heneri is not where she is but that she and her awful voice are so much a part of Vilja's quest line. At some point Vilja even suggests having her to dinner. I cannot bring myself to do that and if I did she would probably demand another ingredient list as a condition precedent to her attendance. I wonder what would happen if I used that reset spell and actually selected the option to kill her? Muahaha

Muahaha Emma at least could include an optional plot where the PC admits to taking Heneri out into the middle of nowhere and leaving her for dead: "I HAD TO! I was close to throwing myself off a cliff!" Or alternately, upon retrieving the bottle for Vilja in Skyrim, pouring it in the nearest river.
