There appear to be a number of circumstances with Vilja which require the PC to rest. The home cooked meal and evening at home situation come to mind. If the PC doesn't rest the dialogue and situation gets permanently fixed into the relationship so to speak. As the evening at home, the only way to opt out of the dialogue was to cancel the evening at home, or rest.
The reason I bring this up is the obvious. The super suck PC leveling mess where many players don't want the rest and forced leveling that comes about because of the resting. So Vilja needs some option in the dialogue that replaces the rest routine. Is this possible?

You don't need to make the PC rest for this ??

Could you please tell me then, how does one exit gracefully out of the evening at home scenario? I brought Vilja the ingredients she asked for to make the home cooked meal then the evening at home continued. Whenever I mentioned going elsewhere or doing something she reiterated the evening at home dialogue. This went on for 72 game hours until I used the that will have to wait or whatever the dialogue option was.
Also, Vilja repeatedly mentioned she was thirsty. There simply is no option to give her food or a drink. Am I missing something with both of these?

Sniffles-I wonder if you did what I did when I had a similar never-ending cozy evening at home. Earlier I had asked her to be quiet and failed to tell her she could talk at will again. The evening cannot end as intended unless she volunteers that she has enjoyed the evening but is tired and wants to go to bed. She will never volunteer that if you have earlier asked her to stop talking-she will just continue to repeat how much she appreciates the evening when you initiate dialogue with her. In my situation, I finally went to bed and when I left the home next morning she scolded me for breaking my promise to have a cozy evening at home. I often ask her to be quiet when dungeon crawling and then forget to ask her "why she is so quiet" when we finish that activity. The same thing happened with a never-ending "long swim".
I also noticed that there was never any dialogue option to give her food or drink, even when you are at an Inn and she seems to be asking for that. Whatever you are missing, I am missing it as well.

I have not restricted her with her options in any way shape or form but what you described is exactly what happened. She said she was tired and the next morning and two subsequent mornings scolded when I tried to move on to other activities. There seemed to be no end in sight. I finally ended it after 3 day-night cycles by telling her that would have to wait or whatever the dialogue option was. It seems to me, and I could easily be wrong since I don't know all the scripts for her, but she really should take charge: Hey, I'm tired and going to bed... and she does. Scene ends. Script ends. Next morning or whenever she thanks for the evening and things can move on. By the way, Vilja's, ALL, should check for PC wearing inappropriate attire, IE, and armor rating on the PC. If present, she informs PC s/he can sleep on the floor. She then goes to sleep. Right now she is perpetually hungry and thirsty and visiting inns in 3 cities hasn't given any solution. I suppose she will just have to die of hunger and thirst?

Well, I'm late to this conversation but I think much of what you hear is Vilja's random chatter. If you initiate conversation with her and she truly wants food or drink, that will be the first thing she says and you will have options for that as soon as she finishes speaking. I believe the randomness of her commentary sometimes falters and one line will be heard frequently; for about a week, game time, I was worried she was turning into a vampire since it seemed every other comment was asking if I knew a cure for vampirism ...but that passed and now she's on a kick of asking if she is a good fighter.
