...and don't worry, they WILL start. Vilja will ensure that. Just give it a little time - there is supposed to be some "free time" between the quest-lines (so that you can do redundant things like saving the empire and close the oblivion gates)

Only had a brief look at Vilja so far (before being temporarily separated from my computer :..( ), but I like what I see. I'm particularly inpressed by the voice work you've done, and the little bit of backstory I've thus far heard sounds very much in the spirit of some of your Morrowind companion mods (the first thing I though of when hearing the beauty creme mishap was dear little Constance's story about her uncle's love potions!).
Looking forward to getting back to Oblivion so I can start travelling with Vilja.

I guess I got into the 3rd quest by now. The only thing I wonder about is why she needs such an awful lot of money. Some thing I noticed: When I let her lead the way to surprise me, the script seems to break if I quicksave (key F5) and quit Oblivion afterwards. When I restart she seems to have lost her sense of direction thou she keeps telling otherwise.
Normally, I play Oblivion with a strange sense of amused inner distance but Vilja really gets me to actually care about a virtual character. Consider this as a compliment.

The amount of money that she requests should be related to the amount that you have - so perhaps if you spend all your money she will reduce her demands on you... Quicksaving is generally discouraged, though perhaps it's not as bad in Oblivion as it was in Morrowind. Therefore it has probably not been tested much. Loriel

Thanks! BTW: I guess I should have posted this under "mod support", what do you think?

She should only ask for money once a week, and not until you have finished her first quest. Maybe I should make her do so less often. But, you don't have to give her anything, and you don't have to give her the highest amount. Alright, if you are very rich and give her 100 Gold she WILL get mad, but don't you think anyone would if that person had been struggling her way through a dungeon together with you, facing dangerous creatures and killed them for you, kept you healed when you wanted to play the main hero... Would it be fair then if you kept all the money? (Although I guess you do spend some of them on outfits for her ).

Hi and welcome Aidan Yes, I guess she's in the same spirit as my MW companions, i.e. the story is lighthearted and she is talkative. There's some Constance in her, some Laura as well, and certainly some Laurenna of Lokken.

I would like to tell you about a mod that makes travelling with Vilja even more enjoyable. I like to have my char travel Cyrodiil on horseback, of course with Vilja riding Bruse too! As I got a very high level char, most attackers like Minotaurs etc. are very dangerous and kill the horses in no time at all, mostly before I could make my char get off his horse and draw his weapon. The solution is a plug-in called Mounted Combat SE as can be downloaded at www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8962 This one allows you to hurl spells at your enemies from horseback before the attacker can get even anywhere to inflict some damage. Of course this needs some well developed magical abilities and good destructive spells, but it takes a lot of anxiety out of riding on horseback! Greetz, Martin

Whoah, Vilja has a unique entry in Sensual Walks for her!!!! o.O The only problem is that the default one is too much ugly, she looks like a priest. >=P

You can however switch her walkingstyle - there should be instructions of it provided with Sensual walks; admittedly I don't use the mod, but I very much appreciate the thorough support Surazal gives of his mod, and how customizable it seems to be. If you cannot figure out for yourself how to change her walkingstyle, post in the thread for Sensual walks at nexus or at ES-boards, and I am positive that Surazal will explain to you what to do.

LOL, thanks Emma. Sure, I put the warrior style on Neeshka and used the "young" style for Emma, but now with the news on the mod, I think I'll try another move for Vilja.
I like Suzaral's work, it gives the female npcs more personality, since they use differente walks. I wish there could be different walks for male too, it would be nice to see npcs limping for example.

I'm sorry if the answer to my problem is written somewhere but I didn't find it. Anyway, my problem is that while I was in the Imperial Palace, during the Ultimate Heist quest, Vilja died without me noticing and when I did it was to late because I was already done with the quest. I don't know if I could have revived her only if I was near her but I really hope I can bring her back to life. Thanks in advance!

That's something I'm curious too, would it break her scripts if I ressurect her via console ("ressurect 1") or using a ressurecting spell or staff? (I usually carry a ressurect staff instead of a spell)
