Often, Vilja and other characters have really surprised me by doing and saying things I hadn't expected them to! sign of a good writer. well, in extreme cases it can also be a sign of a very bad one but given the quality of Vilja I think we can rule that out

I've just learnt about a possible conflict with Vilja:

Regarding bFixFaceNormals I'm not sure I understand. You can turn off self shadowing on people through the regular game interface, through the preferences. No need to issue script commands or edit INIs. That works fine with Vilja: I've been playing this way for years.

I have googled on this, and it seem that the idea is to make the self shadowing viable instead of disabling it.

Is there something specific that can cause her bathing suit to get stuck on?
I ONLY had the problem when I cleaned the esp that BOSS told me, so I figured that the 11 ITMs may be needed to be there for her to function correctly? If so you may want to confirm it with the BOSS team so they can change it.
If not then did I possibly do something else wrong? I'm using the FCOM Patch as well.
By the way. This is the one and ONLY companion mod worth holding onto. All the others are good, but Vilja's personality makes her the ultimate keeper. Thank you for this. Well done!

If I recal correctly a short time ago another user reported having CTDs after cleaning the file, while nobody seems to have any problem for not cleaning it.

I really like the mod and it's working well, except for her walk. When I view it from 3rd person perspective, she follows me fine but her gate is stuttered and not fluid like my player character. I tried with and without the sensual walk mod (rather not use it), but it didn't make any difference. Not a huge deal, but it's bothersome. Any ideas? Hope this is the right thread...

I think what you are refering to is the normal walking style when a npc is in following mode, it could vary a little depending on what she is wearing (armored/unarmored).
What looks really nice in 3rd person perspective is when you let her walk "on her own". I.e. when I travel with her, I usually tell her to go to a place not to far from where we are heading (like "Lead the way to Chorrol" if I'm going to Odiil farm). Then there is no stutter at all, and it's quite nice to have her walking next to me instead of behind me. She will still jump in and fight if we are in trouble.

Just a heads-up that this mod has now been upgraded to ver 4!

:-O Should I reinstall Oblivion? Or should I wait a bit more? That's too much temptation... >_<

I was spying on Vilja and Fergus yesterday, and... well, I think they are more than just friends www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/28977-1-1317681978.jpgIt's so fun to listen to the two of them chatter. It's the first time we have two companions that are both aware of each other and "know"who they are talking to.

I've got over a 100 hours of Vilja time and she just is starting to ask for batches of 10 of ingredients because of the family book Melinda sent her. Should there be any problem enabling the Romance this late?

You can enable the romance option any time you like. It won't cause any problems to her other quests. Since the romance can take a while to get started, you're better off enabling it early but it's never to late.
The worst that happens with multiple quests running is she will have you running around doing things related to the romance at the same time you're trying to find all of those ingredients or helping with one of her other quests. Unless you have other important quests in progress, go for it.

Vilja ver 4 and OOO MMM FCOM:
(originally posted by CDCooley in the Nexus-thread for Vilja)
The new release does make things slightly more complicated and we didn't update information for the FCOM patch. So here are my suggestions:
If you use OOO and OBSE with MMM, you can use the MMM patch now.
If you use OOO and OBSE without MMM, you don't need either patch.
If you use OOO without OBSE, use the OOO patch. (Even if you also have MMM.)
If you use just MMM, use the MMM patch.
But even at their best, the OOO and MMM patches don't do as much as I would like. I've built the changes from the OOO patch into version 4 so you can have the MMM patch loaded and still get the OOO patch features. That helps a little, but there's still one remaining problem caused by how the OOO factions are set. I try to avoid making any changes that would affect OOO itself so certain enemies will still be more aggressive than they should be.

I played 4.0 a little while now and amazingly she seems even more real and interactive now. I love how she makes different comments about the cities or environments she's in.
Vilja had given me a new appreciation for Oblivion. With her I'm kind of forced to slow down a little and smell the roses and I notice little things that I hadn't noticed in all my previous years of play.
