Hello my name is Zedt and I am a mod ho. Yes I said it i'm a ho. After 7 variations of 3 characters over the last year I once again got CTD's and spent the last 2 days re-installing a clean Skyrim. I swear I have learned my lesson and will not add ANY new mods to a game in play ( ya right). Just wanted to let people know that I'm still here and am working on getting from Solitude to Whiterun to find Vilja. Love alternate starts for the game and this time I'm working from a slightly modified level 1. I do go grab all the beginning level spells. I mean our toons all look 18+ so why would they not know at least appentice spells right. Well thats my story and I'm sticking with it since this is a single player game and no one will yell at me.

I've yet to have a problem with the adding, although I'm only at 18 mods - it's the removing that starts making things weird for me. edit: that would be the 3 separate hearthfire homes "display case fixers". I'm also using requiem's potion weight adjuster.. I'm not wild about it renaming potions but not so much that I'm going to remove it, for this run at least. Have you played the Civil War Overhaul mod? That one makes me nervous.

Oh fine now you mention the Civil War revisited..... I was thinking of giving it a try but it needs to be a fresh start.......I might do it and see how it runs. It does sound fun and MO will let me. I would wonder how the BASH patching will work out? Oh and I'm at 209 mods but I love companions, weopons ( arrowsong) and armor so have tons of each. Oh I am doing the Genesis mod www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/67811/? and tried it's parent Sands of Time www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12452/? the latter might have killed my install. Genesis acts like the populated mods all in one. Times of Sand is a fkin huge addition with story line. It was too much for the profile I added it to and I didn't add it onmy clean install but went with genesis. I'll update on how ot spawns as I get farther along. The populated series can be found herre erkeilmods.altervista.org/skyrim/populated-lands-roads-paths-rs/.

Heh. I'll have to check those.. I did read a little about Genesis but I think I'm too casual a gamer for that. I'm not looking for something that generates more scripting conflicts - which is why CWO makes me nervous. Although, this vanilla Civil War is pretty lame.. At 209 mods, how the hell would you know what's causing a problem?

Cyber most of the mods except Genesis I've used for over a year. My main issue was I'd add to ongoing profiles and even if your not removing any it takes a toll. Another issue is that multiple profiles seems to be weird for Wrybash to deal with. I think it keeps using the same bash patch and rewrites. I should ask on the forum about that. I do make the resulting files in "overwrite" into a mod for that profile. I am also collecting all of Dx's mods www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68653/? after all I'd wear that................well if I was in Skyrim and looked like that. His work is pretty amazing on the detail and flow of the armors. I am looking at this profile as a test of the Genesis mod to see if it's better than the populated series. Since I'm starting from 0 rather than using a bat file to jump start the game I'm not sure. It maybe linked to your level so as to not over power you at the lower levels. When I did the "Time of Sand" with a profile at 30 it was frikkin tought, more than I wanted with the Zombie army invading Skyrim. Sands also conflicts with "head tracking" www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23600/? which I find really adds to the immersion of my character. "Genesis says it has no conflicts with other mods so we will see.

I'm confidant your Psychotic alter-ego will be just slaughter happy. Use one or the other, Sands has a pretty extensive conflict list to check out.

ok before I answer that Sniffles please define "make things foo foo". Geneesis works as a spawner adding people, ie foes, in what they claim are appropriate spots and times adding to the danger of Skyrim. Sands of Time also does that but is really a quest mod that brings refuges from the end of "Oblivion" into the game and appears really extensive. sotrealms.enjin.com/ is the web site, take a read.

Foo foo as in when things working well goeth to hell in ta bucket game mechanics wise. Is it theme? No landspeeders and laser rifles? I note a person named Vilja is mentioned in that video. Is this Emma's Vilja and has Emma given the mod a nod of approval? The video is censored and appears to be a tamed down average Saturday night at our reservation.

It's Skyrim so there is no quarenty that it won't go to hell. Story is extension of Oblivion. I did start a game with bat file jump to level 30 so was in the thick of the mods spawn engine. There wwere some pretty tought single and multiple spawns that hit me and my companions. The start of the invasion with the undead army was tought. Everything is tweckable in the MCM. There are several(4?) presets of difficulty and I was default. If I did it again I would go throught their recommendations on compatibility.

Nuts. I don't want to trash the game or where we are at now in our save games. But Snarky is pretty pissed off with things. She's had it on legendary difficulty and gets bored after a half hour. She's been watching walkthroughs of Dark Souls and Bloodborne and wishes Skyrim had decent enemies like they have.

I love SkyUI, it's so much better than the crappy vanilla interface. I'm still using version 4.1. As for your problem, I think I have heard of that happening, but I've never attempted to uninstall SkyUI myself. There aren't any loose files, so removing or disabling both the ESP file and the BSA file should clear everything. If the problem persists, then the fault may lie with what's embedded in your saves and you may have to go back to a save made before you installed SkyUI or use a saves cleaner.

So a mod doth crappeth all over my saveth birthday cake. How sweet. Perhaps I could get used to the new fancyness, as if we play the game to tinker endlessly with various menus... but does anyone really want a mod that utterly junks out how Skyrim runs if you remove it? Personally, I call that spyware, malware, or a virus. As in I install a program in Windows then remove it and I can no longer close windows without it crashing?
