I've just arrived in Skingrad with a new character. I've spoken to Druja regarding Red Rose Manor, and now I want to sell some loot acquired on my journey from the IC. Trouble is, Colovian Traders is permanently locked. Doesn't matter how long I wait, no sign of the shop opening. This has never happened before, although I gather it's happened to other players. Is there a specific mod that causes this glitch? Short of deactivating 100 mods one by one, is there a fix?

I'd use the console and unlock the door then check during regular business hours to see if everything is working right. There is a bug mentioned here and there of businesses never unlocking for various reasons. If unlocking solves the problem you should keep track of similar problems which could mean a mod interfering with things or a corrupted save. There is an Inn south of IC, I forget which one, maybe Faregyl Inn, that does this periodically and has other odd quirks..

I think it's the Mystic Emporium that has the AI package issue re: unlocking the door. This bug comes about after installing Frost Crag or The Fighter's Stronghold (Battlehorn).
I'd need to see the load order to get any clues...

I'd need to see the load order to get any clues... Spunky says the Mystic Emporium bug is the same as the Alchemy room-childs bedroom bug in Breezehome with Dawnguard-Hearthfires installed. Where the game engine attempts to accommodate and fails and you can end up with that room in the unimproved Breezehome state by installing both alchemy and bedroom. There was some notes in the Wiki about an Inn having a locked door but removed when they stripped much of the info out of the wiki. I think even Emma mentioned this Inn. The Faregyl Inn has other odd quirks, the room for rent being occupied by an NPC and a free bed you can sleep on. The Bloated Float also has locked door glitch issues.

The Faregyl Inn also has a path grid issue outside...the two way-points on either side of the gate are not connected. This leads to some rather comical running around until one gets into the CS and fixes it. I keep a 'fix-it' esp right near the bottom of the load order just for such pathing fumbles.

Well, I seem to have solved the problem. I stripped back the game to just the unofficial patches and the door was still locked. Then I remembered to deactivate the Darnified UI (which I'd never used before). After a hour's wait, the door unlocked. I reactivated all the other mods and I can still access the shop. Can't think why changing the UI would screw things up; it's annoying, since I'd just got used to the Darnified version.
