Another way of getting the ring easily would be to install AddItemMenu Only if your running Classic. Or if you port it to SSE yourself. I think we are mainly talking about SSE on this thread. However if you are using classic, Btog is right additemMenu is an excellent utility. Although I've downloaded the SSE version, the oldrim version came out first and I'm playing that one till I've completed her storyline and done all her quests. Almost finished, only got the marriage/kinship one left, from the way it's going I suspect being already married to Vilja doesn't block the marriage option as it's totally non vanilla skyrim marriage. What's not so obvious is whether Vilja would notice if I married Fluffy...............and how she would react if she did.......

Let me know I just finished marring Vilja again. I suspect she will not notice the philandering. She remains pretty oblivious to my Amorous Adventures. It's creepy though how they all watch.

I'm married to Vilja and did the kinship with my shaved kitty. Vilja does mind flower girls and will join in if asked. But if you share a bed with anyone other than her, she takes care of your "good morning".

Drop the ring, enter console, point mouse at ring. The use player.additem xxxxxxxxx 1. Or enter in the console> help "unusual ring". You must include the " double quotes. That may work with your present saved game. Help "unusual ring" then player.additem 130D52DC 1 worked! Thank you!!!

You might want to get your companions ids so you can do PRID xxxxxxxxxxx moveto player
It may be just perception but I think SSE loses followers more often than classic. I thought at first it was a problem with particular followers but now in my second run with SSE and the problem effects a wide range of vanilla, custom, and iNPCs.

It's not just you. I had Inigo just decide to leave. I traveled and he didn't follow. I brought up his marker on the map and he was in another city. Traveled there and he is in another city heading to Riften. Traveled there and found him sitting in his cell. Vilja has not traveled at times and won't do a thing no matter what you tell her. Slap her with the reset spell and she says " hi, there" and all is back to normal. A few times I've had to use the spell to kick start an NPC when they don't commence a quest. Zag and they start saying what they are supposed to.

Zag and they start saying what they are supposed to. You have some seriously hung scripts. A major saved game cleaning is in order. With a saved game that corrupted there could also be numerous other problems. Corrupted lists of objects in containers comes to mind. What is happening is the NPCs are not executing their scripts and are dropping to their defaults. A huge queue of unexecuted scripts is plugging up everything. It will only get worse. Go to Nexus and download www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/? Follow the instructions precisely. Reload the saved game and make a new save. Then re-run the entire saved game cleaning again. Enter your houses and repeat. Check the inventories in containers and repeat. This repetition is necessary as there is layer after layer of scripts that want to enter the queue and are blocked. ALWAYS make a special archived save before doing the cleaning. Make certain other programs are not running on the computer. You want disk access free and clear. Then after all that, revert to an ancient save when things worked right and kiss off all those game play hours. <OPTIONAL, LAST RESORT. My game went south like yours. It all started with the Bottle Quest failing to fully execute, Viljja heaped a dozen scripts onto that and it snowballed. Eventually my game was CTD every five minutes. (Weak wussy computer. Powerful comps will keep right on running, letting the game turn your saves into compost.)
