So, I picked up Morrowind during the GoG sale that CollinMacleod recently posted about, been playing it for a couple days. Now level 3, whoohoo! But Laura's conversational menu has lost the "Companion Share" option. She also seems to have lost most of her chitin armor, so I really want to pass some more stuff to her!

You probably need to set the variable companion in Laura to 1.
Try the following: Open the console Click on Laura (which should add her id, 11aa_laura, to the console title. Type "sv" without the quotes, followed by enter - this should list all Laura's variable, scroll up if necessary to see the value of companion Type "set companion to 1", which should fix it. Alternatively, "set 11aa_laura.companion to 1" may work. Close the console.

set 11aa_laura->companion to 1
I keep doing it that way after playing the other games. I don't understand why they had to change the syntax. The worst part is that the commands sometime seem to "work" but don't do what you intended.

Thanks, loriel and ghastley. Later yesterday, after some more game play, before I saw your suggestions, the companion setting somehow fixed itself, the Companion Option was again showing. After reading your posts, I used sv to check her settings, it showed that 11AA_LauraScript7.5->companion = 1. Loading an earlier save, one where the problem existed, indeed 11AA_LauraScript7.5->companion = 0. On that older save, tried: set 11AA_Laura->companion to 1, and tried: set 11AA_Laura00000000->companion to 1, neither worked. However, just using: "set companion to 1" did work. Using her ID in the command always errored with: Script 11AA_LauraScript7.5 Script command "setcompanion" not found on line 1. setcompanion to 1. A little weird, as there was definitely a space after the keyword "set". (Tried it with the 8 zeros, as 11AA_Laura00000000 showed up as her ID when I clicked on her in the console.)

Select and then set is definitely the easiest way to get it right.
