Hi, everyone. I was wondering if anyone has any idea how to fix the last warning text errors that I am getting. All of these seem to appear while the Orphanage mod is loading. After using Wyre Mash and Mlox tools, my Morrowind ini list ony has two bsa files listed. Everything else shows up as game files/plug ins maybe? I thought there were supposed to be more bsa files other than tribunal and bloodmoon at the top of the list, but maybe that is changed with more mods and changing the load order? I had eliminated all of the warning text, but then I downloaded more mods and these came back. Thanks for any help!

You are missing NPCs - Imhanni, Yrhan, Julienne, etc. Also missing two textures. These may or may not be an issue; the menu texture seems common, I had that notice for years and never saw anything amiss in the game (and to this day have a notice about a missing banner texture, at one point I used the CS to find the banner in question, went there in game and everything appeared normal). I would remove all the pertinent mods and reinstall them one at a time, checking with Mash then in game each time for issues; often such problems are simply a misplaced folder/file or a corrupt download. You may find some useful information here also - www.mwmythicmods.com/ - the site hasn't been updated recently, but Morrowind is many years old and all the data is still relevant.

Oh, so it looks like these are actually children and the nanny from the morrowind family mod. Hmmm. I will have to investigate that mod further.
Thanks so much for your reply!

Well, I ended up having more problems and having to go through all the mods a few at a time to see if they caused problems when I started a new game. I ended up removing 3 mods that caused problems and the orphanage is the only one that still causes issues.
I would really like to use that mod, but I don't want to click through 50+ warnings each time I load the game.
I redownloaded the mods, which fixed a couple of problems, but not the list of warnings for the 3 or 4 NPCs shown above.
If anyone has any thoughts on something else I can try, I would greatly appreciate it!
Or maybe someone who knows what they are doing can update the orphanage mod! I just wish I knew how to mod!
Thanks everyone!

So I managed to get this down to only one warning message while loading:
Script variable "cdcCompanion" not found for dialogue type Topic Info "EMPTY"
Does anyone know if this will be a problem? I am wondering if this would stop my character from being able to adopt since maybe something I wrong with the "companion" option? Maybe there won't be a dialog option for it? I haven't gotten to a point to try it.
If anyone has any thoughts, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!

I have no knowledge of scripting (which spelled the end of several Morrowind mods I was creating) but this looks like someone has a dialog topic or response "Empty" which references a companion, or initiates/modifies a script based on a companion; the "cdc" may help locate which mod is the culprit (CD Cooley?). I don't think this would be an Emma mod, she usually uses 1Em prefix. Hopefully someone else here can provide a better answer.
As to whether letting this go would create problems, that is very difficult to say. The game is so complex that some seemingly trivial item may cause an issue that will not be apparent until you have played many hours, at which point the problem may be so ingrained you've no choice but start a new game. In this case I would definitely try to ascertain the issue since it involves a script.

I think cdcCompanion is used for compatibility with CD Cooley's "Companion Teleportation" mod - specifically that variable, set to 0, should be added to any companion to prevent offering the "teleport with me" dialog option. From the Readme:
2) You can add a short variable named cdcCompanion to the script of the companion (but leave the variable value set to 0) to disable the 'teleportation topic if it's an NPC. Since creatures don't get shared dialog, you don't need this for creatures. It may perform a similar function with his "Improved Teleportation" mod - I don't use it, so don't have a copy available.
I would not expect that warning to cause any problems in the game, but if you do run one of the companion teleportation mods you may find npcs/companions offering the "teleport with me" dialog option where it wasn't intended.

Thanks so much for these replies! I am pretty sure ithe orphanage mod is triggering it since the warnings go away when I don't use that mod. I managed to get rid of all the other warnings noted above by moving the orphanage mod to the end of the load order. Not sure why that would have any affect, but my son suggested it and it worked.
I have seen the teleportation mods referenced above, but I haven't downloaded them since I didn't completely understand how they worked.
I am very glad to hear that the cdcCompanion warning probably won't cause any problems in the game.
I thought I would mention the load order change in case anyone else ends up searching for a similar problem and that helps. I have used old discussions like that to help me.
Thanks again and I can't believe I held out so long in trying mods!

Moving the mod to the end of the load order merely means it is the last mod loaded so all the changes it makes will override those from any previous mods. This could clear problems apparent with this mod but 'may' cause issues by blocking something in another mod. Many problems can be cured by mere load order changes, not so much exactly where a mod is in the order but that it loads before or after another mod (lots of trial-and-error at times, though I usually put companion mods at or near the end so other mods will not interfere with the companion).

Thanks for that explanation! I still don't know what I am doing, but I search for answers and try things out. I am just happy that you can make changes with save games sometimes. Like I finally tried to find kids and teenager clothes and realized that I couldn't find the merchants in Caldera, Vivec, or Suran, even though Caldera is supposed to have them with the Children of Morrowind ver2 mod. I downloaded the separate clothing mods from Robert and Emma and installed them and the merchants suddenly appeared in Vivec and Suran. Still not in Caldera though. But at least I might be able to change stuff when I get to a point in the game where I see something isn't working right. For a first time mod user, I am starting to see some of the errors that occur with mods. I need to start going back to Nexus Mods and posting questions or endorsements as I figure out the new content.
Thanks again!
