A bit late to react on this post, but now I understand why I've so often mistaken a Frysian song for an English song. And then doubting 'hmm this isn't English... what is it... ah it's Frysian! Stupid language'
Explains why even the Dutch' hardly understand a true Frysian dialect speaker.
