I just reinstalled Sophia. I'm wondering when she will get around to having her own horse. Looking forwards to things developing. She is a pain in the arse in combat, always getting in the way. But then I've gone beyond simply shooting enemies. I let the others play and hang back, learning how to shoot past their boundary boxes. That's a new and nifty challenge.
I was playing with boundary boxes and horses yesterday. Good for getting creatures and NPCs out of your way. Horses bump into each other IRL in a way. They will move unpredictably when in close proximity to each other and bite and kick. So I consider the boundary box bump the closest the game engine can come up with to their being feisty. More unpredictable good fun.

O.K., I havenĀ“t noticed this about Sofia. My char is very proficient in sneaking, marksmanship and smithing, combined with a high ability to detect life so he usually takes out his enemies with some high level bows and crossbows before they or his companions usually notice them. About horses: I do not have too much experience with them. I work with handicapped children and the horses for hippotherapy I know are extremely docile and tolerant to almost anything. Still I wonder: When riding in a group you normally keep your distances from each other so situations like the ones you described should be avoidable. Looks like you take some mischievious pleasure in some in-game situations that do not run too smoothly. Cheers!

When you get in close quarters like in a dungeon Sophia starts blasting then starts pursuing. Needs tranquilizers.
Used to pack tourists into the Tetons. Chargers up front, stable nags to the rear. Mix em up and you can get some pretty nasty traffic jambs. Packs getting torn off, even bust cinch straps, horses shoved off cliffs and all that wheeee!
I gave up on Inigo. Not enough follower options and commands.

Vilja is now updated to ver 4.2!
News:
- Side-by-side walking - developed from the system introduced in the Followers as Companions mod by Ishara Meradin. - Improved hotkeys attack system - Vilja should now hit her target more accurately. - Improved sneaking behaviour. Vilja can be ordered to stay away and take cover. - New flute music - four new tunes - for Vilja by Bosa123. - Tweaking of marksman behaviour - Vilja should no longer prefer steel arrows in combat but instead use the best possible arrows in her inventory. - Minor tweaks and corrections.

Downloaded from Nexus and installed, now I just need Seyheb to convert his Vilja custom textures to SSE.

They are already converted and new patches have been created for both USP and CBBE as before. I had passed them to Emma for release but then I discovered that Caliente is making some completely new meshes for CBBE in SSE so I have suggested we wait until we have them, hopefully in January or February. In the meantime; a teaser

I love the Vilja mod. I really enjoy it. But...I have a question (if it has already been answered somewhere else, I apologize). I am on the quest to get the books for Vilja to learn chants. I have the 3rd one and have presented it to Wilbert at the Bards College and nothing happens. I've tried going away and coming back later. I've tried passing it to Vilja (can't). I've tried seeing Berta (sp?). Please, what am I doing wrong?
