Anyone care to share some of those moments when Vilja takes you by surprise and you have gone “Wow!”? There have been many for me and I often find myself laughing at them. Here’s just a couple to kick off with. There was the first time she sung a duet with one of my (her) other followers, which was totally unexpected at the time. Then recently she soloed a dragon all by herself. In the last event, we had been attacked by two dragons. I took one and she took the other. After finishing mine I ran to help her thinking she was going to need it, but before I could help, hers fell dead at her feet. She then said “I told you I was good”. I think it helped that I had given her a lightning staff and a fire bolt staff to carry that day. She dual-wields them sometimes, which was also a surprise because that event was the first time I saw her do it. I find her a well-balanced fighting companion but I guess the staffs gave her an extra edge that day.

Who is the follower that sung a duet with Vilja? So curious...
My not-exactly wow moment was when she was leading the way and got stuck by the wooden barricades at Fort Greenwall. So I swinged my blade to clear the obstacle, and she continued on just fine. We passed through the same location again on the same day, and at the ruined barricades, she commented that I am crazy, but she does love me.

I think she will sing a duet with any follower that has one of the main vanilla human-type voices, or at least with females (I've not tried her with male companions). She seems to prefer ones who are regular partners with her. I have two regulars with her, Angelina and Junie. They are both custom companions but use the vanilla voice system. They have different voices and that also means that some conversations between them and Vilja can vary a little, which is good. She used to sing with Angelina mostly, probably because she was the first, but now she sings with both of them equally. In fact Vilja sings or hums to herself a lot as well these days, which I love to hear. She even hums while charging into battle if she isn't insulting the enemy with "you milk drinker!" or something similar. One of the great things about having her along is she has such a happy personality. As for "wow" moments, I guess mentioning any funny moment will do just as well. She is now pretty good with her lightning skill and can one-shot some animals, such as wolves. My latest is that she's started calling out "Nutcase!" as they die, which always cracks me up.

She'll be singing duets mostly with Lydia, they have a "special song". But she'll also sing "Dragonborn song" with most followers that use the Female Eventoned or Female Young Eager voice types. There are three voice-types that have access to the Dragonborn song, it's these two and then the Male Nord, so once I give Vilja interaction with the male nord voicetype, they'll be doing it, too. Surprisingly it's not included in Male YoungEager in spite of that at least the bard Sven in Riverwood has this voicetype.
When Vilja sings during combat, she is using one of her chants, and you will soon see a spell-effect take place. You can choose which chant she is going to use, but you can only have one activated at the time; you'll have to give her dialog instruction to change chant.

I better get my main quest started to get Lydia in my private army then Does Vilja sing differently for different chants? Or are they randomly match, including the "Na Na Na Na Na Na"?

I do have Vilja set to use one of her bard chant debuffs and sometimes I see a swirl of leaves too. Angelina uses the Female Eventoned voice and Junie the Female Young Eager voice. Vilja does sing a lot of duets with them, in between a lot of chatter! I have occasionally substituted Lydia for Angelina but I don't like to have more than two followers additional to Vilja. Angelina and Junie were chosen mainly to complement Vilja's and my character's play style, not just because they are good-looking! Vilja also complements my character's play style perfectly. They all make a very good team, so I've not used Lydia very much. However I think I will try bringing in Lydia more often.

She'll have different "songs" for different chants. The "Na na na..." is not a chant, though, if you mean the one she uses to taunt Bandits. she should only use that one very rarely... she did it more often before, but most players seemed to get annoyed by it, and I agree that it's not a suitable way to treat a vampire or dragon!

Been paying more attention to everything Vilja does, absolutely fascinating!

Oh HOLY CRAP!! Vilja and I teleport back to Black Briar Lodge. My horse drifts down from the sky, almost on top of Vilja. A dragon lands directly behind Vilja while another circles, blasting everything with fire. I turn around to see a wagon drifting down from the sky, upside down. The countryside around where it lands is ablaze. Bumped into me by the horse, Vilja, on fire as well, smiles and asks me, "Will you keep a lookout, please? I need to... go behind a bush and I really hope there isn't a spriggan in there... again!" A number of thoughts, captions, sprang to mind. As in, 'Spriggan? THAT'S THE LEAST OF OUR WORRIES!' Or, 'Look around you sweety. We're at the threshold of HELL!'. Or, 'Do you think you could put that off for a few moments?'. Pictured: The aftermath. Note the dragon skeletons. My character was armed with a Daedric bow (slower than snail snot) and iron arrows and had just gone legendary in archery (level 15). Vilja, for reasons best known to herself wields a staff of chain lightning which she tends to hit friend and foe equally with. 14 potions of ultimate healing later...

About Vilja singing: I just had a most charming situation with her. I only got 2 followers for my male Breton, Vilja and Eurydice, the mage. Eurydice is a standard follower, but she is slight and small and she has got a face that may be called beautiful in a very personal way, not just pretty. I play the german version of Skyrim with a few english plug-ins strewn in for good measure, Vilja is completely english. So my char was busily smithing away at his workshop and Vilja and Eurydice were in the background, when suddenly there was a duet with Vilja singing the text of the song in english and Eurydice singing her parts in german. This was such a strikingly beautiful and innocent situation that I had my char put away his hammer in order to listen. Lovely! Attachments:

I often stop to listen to Vilja sing with one of her two friends.

Exiting Inalta's deep with Azura's Star, thought why not kill off the mudcrabs from up here with my bow. Missed a mudcrab and Vilja and my other follower go into attack mode but can't target the enemies.. Ok No problem I got this. But one mudcrab scurries to the side of the tower below me and I can't target it unless I get on the wall. As soon as I jumped on the wall Vilja says "I'm going to kill you!" and knocks me off the wall as soon as she finished saying that. Lucky the drop wasnt bad. A day later on a high edge to try to stop Potema from being resurrected but clearing my path to the party, but this time the drop looks deadly.. so I tip-toe to the edge as far as I can get to target a draugr and a warlock below me. knock my arrow and aim.. steady.. steady... loose the arrow and draugr turns and walks the other way at the same moment making me miss and getting agro. "I'm going to kill you!" sounds from behind me and ofcourse vilja knocks me right off the ledge to my death. Yeah she failed on day 1 but acomplished her task on day 2.
As soon as I respawned I went to ask her to wait.. She complains because I dont ask her what we should do next even though I did ask not 10 minutes real time before. Needless to say we left the dungeon and i dropped her off at the Winking Skeever for the rest of the day while I took care of the cave. too many high ledges in there. So come back to the Winking Skeever and she is a happy camper and all ready to go. Back to her normal self from then on and not trying to kill me.

LMAO Jet, that is just too funny!! Vilja, to Jet's character, "Did you bring your rope climbing gear, as This looks scary"!
Good stuff about the singing Mewgull, that must have been interesting and fun to listen too.
