Everything close to the volcano would have been destroyed, i.e Vvardenfell, but the rest of Morrowind should've been virtually untouched. Toxic downfall and nuclear winter caused by the volcano would make it unhabitable for a time, but life is very quick to return. The worst recent wolcanic eruption on earth caused a 1-year nuclear winter across the globe. I don't recall the volcano's name, but the harsh winter that resulted is recorded in British newspapers.

You don't have to join the Dark Brotherhood -- you can actually wipe them all out as part of the quest. It begins with the boy, though. Doing this little favor for him was not a problem for me -- seeing how badly that old crone treated those poor kids.

yes, but why, oh, why, didn't they pick up on companions warping to player when stuck - I mean, that has been common practice since 2002, when Grumpy made the first warping-script, which we used in Witchgirl Adventure. After losing my housecarl in the first dungeon, and 3-4 times since then, I have come to the conclusion that she is a pertty container that I keep in my house. Yeah, it's happened to me, too. Even more annoyoing is when you have Barbas or Meeko following you -- those dogs tend to get in your way in tight spots and constantly push you around -- that isn't very fun on precarious walkways. It's always best to go alone if the dungeon has those narrow walkways.

Found a trap the hard way with my pyromancer. Note to self: pinkish shiny spots on floor are highly combustable...... Haven't seen any of those pinkish spots but I've seen blue ones. I learned you can set them off with one of your own spells from a safe distance.

Well, I had another go at the spider and killed it. Turned out it was too big to follow me and I could just use my fire spell to toch it. Learned another thing later about the Barrow, which could have saved me a return trip.

I thought the faces in char creation would look better. Apart from that, the game seems okay. I did have a crash to desktop the first time I took a shot at the bear in the cave. Second time around I got two arrows in before finishing it off with my sword. Got killed later in Bleak Falls Barrow by a huge spider -- don't go there when you're just lvl 2, I guess.

Of course I'll play it -- I've played every game since Arena, not counting Redguard. There's going to be a game story, in time, too. I've got plenty of other planned stories to put together too, though, so not sure when I'll launch this one.
