I see I'm quite late for this and I won't be very useful either.
Certainly, removing a mod does make variables get stuck, thus what should have work before doing it, may not work after, even after adding the mod again in some cases. So, if you plan to revert something even dimly related to a mod, do it before removing it, if you need to remove the mod at all.
There is no list of followers. There are various quest aliases and each follower is assigned to a new one. Clearing aliases is really a big problem. One way is to reset the quest. This may work or not. Type in the console startquest xx1BFA80 where xx are the first two characters this mod has in your load order (just select vilja in the console and the first two characters assigned to her)

While I'm flattened by being considered an authority in the matter, I don't think there is any need to correct your wording here Sniffles. You point out things clear enough.
Must add though, that as far as I know, Morrowind supposedly won't give you problems for removing a mod, as far as you wait in a cell not affected by that mod until the cell reset happens (usually in 72 game hours).
On the other hand, while orphaned scripts where the first leftovers from removal of mods known in the case of Skyrim, quests did also remain usually in memory when their mod is removed. Maybe similar issues happen in previous games, but not having a red flare as the orphaned scripts, nobody looked at the right direction and nobody found that the "clean save" idea, wasn't always working. Who knows.

Glad you found the problem.

Those items are used form inventory handling. The thing is there aren't playable. Did you have any mod that could make playable, non playable clothing items?

I'm totally out of ideas.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. What I mean is to lower the volume of the voice all you can, in the settings mentioned by Aatrnasyn, in case lowering the voice volume entirelly does disable the voice file playing; which hopefully would bypass what's causing the crash.

No scripts, quest updates, or any other kind of change happens until you activate them, so, seeing it happening when they talk to each other, this seems to be related to running the sound files themselves.
Maybe and only maybe, lowering to the limit the voice setting under the game settings/audio avoid voice files being run. If so, you could disable voice while you are going to get near them.

Really odd. Try disabling and then enabling the nord before talking to him. if that didn't help, another option is to do the same after removing all his items through console.

Maybe it's one of those quests tied to items you display, the one that took over Vilja's AI for a moment and made her pick up the elder scroll then. Is any one of them related to a NPC taking an item there? (maybe someone stealing from the museum, or something like that)

Besides her picking it if you asked her to pick arrows or during combat, and directed by another mod caching her in an alias, if you are playing in Skyrim Special edition, maybe they added some of the AI changes from Fallout 4, which would make NPCs prone to hoard items. Who knows. Never tried Legacy of the Dragonborn, I only know you are supposed to collect unique items and place them in some kind of museum.
It's supposed to happen something to any of the items you put there in it's questline, or from the items perspective they are simply stored there?

The results of that software are astonishing from front view. What about different angles, does it looks like a decent human head, or it looks somehow deformed?

Open the console and type CoC HomeCellInFrontOfTV. Then again, you need to open the console first, which is really difficult in this game

I assume you didn't give it to her, so, if it's really a projectile (which I'm almost sure it is), she could have picked up it from a container should have been directed to look for arrows, or during a combat where she was using ranged style (again, she needs to be directed to use ranged style) with no more arrows to use.
She could have get caught in an alias from another mod too (this is the most probable case. There are mods that pick NPCs randomly for filling different roles, but most probably a follower overhaul may have give her an AI package, making her pick up random arrows by default).

I think the elder scroll is a projectile. If so, making her equip her bow should help her unequip it. A bit late and not sure if it's a proper workaround.

In the middle of a nice dinner out, Vilja went crazy and just wants to kill me. Reset spell, friendly fight, setav aggression 0, leaving her behind for 3 days, nothing calms her down. Most probably another mod (Did you installed a new quest mod recently?) has added an alias to her. My guess is that alias is supposed to start a plot related combat with a given NPC, but somehow has picked up Vilja instead.
