Greetings everyone
Had a great time playing with Vilja. My wife keeps cracking up every time she asks me if she looks fat in her outfit and every time she takes her clothes off when I enter a city. Thank god I don't use a naked texture, I would never hear the end of it...lol. I actually got married to Vilja in a Bikini (She finally put the Dress on when she got the ring). So a big thank you and congratulation for this amazing mod. I don't think I ever saw an NPC so lifelike in any games I ever played.
Now on to the problem I am having. After the wedding, I went to the party at the Inn and then left with Vilja. I went to our little home in Riften for the wedding night. After the dialog, she hugs me, the screen goes dark and then...my screen started to flash strangely. I can hear the fireworks but I don't see them and then I hear Vilja talk to me but the screen remains dark with flashes and nothing happens.
I tried reloading my save and got the same issue again. Anyone ever encountered that and knows how to fix it?
Thanks

Hi wolfking, Welcome to the forum! That shouldn't be a problem with your game nor your save. This sounds more like your system cannot play the bik video correctly. Please re-download the wedding night video under Optional Files (scroll all the way down) at Vilja in Skyrim Nexus page. Place the content to Skyrim's install directory (the Skyrim\data folder should merge, i.e. ViljaWeddingNight3.bik is inside Skyrim\Data\Video). See if the video can play smoothly after you have replaced the video file. And Vilja taking her clothes off when she enters a city could be (1) you haven't assign items to her urban wardrobes, or (2) she has corrupted formlists, please take a look at the FAQ section in Vilja's wardrobe guide (linked in my mini profile).

Hi Dova
Thanks for the quick response. I will try that with the Video file. It is a brand new system newly imaged so it might be missing some software to play bik Videos. I will test that tonight. I know I have corrupt formlists but I just did not take the time to fix them. I just talk to her, check her gear and then she gets dressed again so it's no big deal.
Thanks again

Skyrim's game engine can decode the video perfectly in game despite if your system cannot watch the bik file. Keep me posted.

I just replaced the file and tested it. Strangely enough, it bugged again. I tested it facing another way and it worked. Quite strange really. At least it worked so it's all good.

That's a very strange good news, I suppose So for the playback to work, your character has to face a different direction? Hope you continue to have fun with Vilja.

I got the same problem only different. Fireworks but no sound. I suspect the built in sound thingy on the motherboard, probably designed shortly after the invention of the telephone, is either censoring things, or is trying to not frighten the dog.

I must admit, the sound on the Video file is a little too loud. The first time it started, with my screen flickering, I though I broke the game...lol.
@dova - I did not perform extensive testing. I tried it twice facing another wall and in a different location and it worked fine. I did not try it again in the position I was in my last save so I don't know if it would glitch again. Just a quick question. After being married, are there other quests related to Vilja? I am just asking because I pretty much cleared the game with my current Character and marrying Vilja was the last thing I had on my to do list.
Thanks

There are still some more things/quests after you marry Vilja. But if you have already finished Vilja's bard college/performance quests (these are the more major questlines that can go on before/parallel/after romance track), then I would just start a new playthrough again (hopefully with Vilja). Having Vilja since the very beginning will be refreshing, as she has many skyrim's quests related comments as well when you go through the vanilla quests.

She was wearing the bikini, Not me. I was actually dressed in the Lich King's armor minus the helmet :-)

Maybe he meant Vilja and I got married in a bikini. Or maybe Clad in a bikini, Vilja married my character? Or maybe Vilja married, my character clad in a bikini?

It's funny how a simple grammar mistake can change the meaning of a sentence. In my defense, I speak French and English is my second language...lol.
