That silly girl tasted one of her ingredients and it made her sick. I was able to find her a Cure Poison potion at the Gilded Carafe, but how long will it take for her to get better? So far I've waited four or five days in the same cell, then reloaded and tried waiting a similar amount of time in a different cell (felt bad leaving the poor girl alone, but decided that my character didn't *really* do that...) and she's still saying she's feeling weak. Should I just go off gallivanting for a couple of weeks, or is she supposed to feel better sooner than this? Should I try reloading to before she said she was feeling ill and try again?

It's been a while, but as I recall it does take her a little while to feel better. But it shouldn't take that long. It always happens so even if you reload she will do it again. I'll do a bit of quick research. It's supposed to be 3 days after you give her the cure for her to recover. emmates.proboards.com/thread/418If it's been 5 days, maybe a reload and having the potion with you so you can give it to her right away might be best.

Thanks, I'm just wondering if it's bugged out but if I reload to before she said she was feeling ill, it might not bug out this time, kind of thing?

Hard to say, at this point, she is as stable as she can possibly get, but it is Bethesda.

Ah, just seen the second half of your first post - okay, so something's bugged out (I'm blaming Bethesda, bless them). I've tried reloading to before she told me she was feeling ill and she's not asked again, so hopefully this gives me time to get to the Gilded Carafe and buy her a potion before she asks for one...

It's kind of designed to be inconvenient. The last time she did it to me we were literally in front of the door to Battlehorn Castle. I didn't feel too bad leaving her as she was surrounded by guards, but it can happen anywhere.

It's kind of designed to be inconvenient. The last time she did it to me we were literally in front of the door to that castle that you can own. I didn't feel too bad leaving her as she was surrounded by guards, but it can happen anywhere. Oh dear! Yes, inconvenient I can handle, but if it's a week and she's still not better, and it's meant to be 3 days, that's probably not a good sign! I've also been getting CTDs, which is unusual, possibly related to one of the new mods I added, hence taking forever to wait a few days. Do you know if I need to wait in another cell, or can I stay with her? Feel rather bad leaving her unattended if she does it in the wilds again!

I think you sort of need to leave after you give her the cure. You also need to give her a purchased potion, that I know for sure. I believe she will tell you she needs to be alone to recover. Maybe somebody will stop in that has a more recent memory to tell you for sure. She may even warp to you once she is well, or you will get an update prompt. I know that you cannot summon her until she is well. perhaps you should visit a shrine or buzz to a city, wait around, then try to summon her.

Yeah, I gave her a bought potion, she said it helped but she was still feeling weak and needed some time to rest, something like that. (Have shut down PC for the night, will try again tomorrow.)
Thanks for replying!

Hmm, I'm trying the more organic 'go off and do other quests' route, so far it's about four days and she's not summon-able... Is there a console command I can use to fix Vilja, if it goes on indefinitely? I don't really like using them, but I'm a bit worried that Vilja may be stuck like this.

Try this.
In cases of emergency...
We have made our best to make Vilja function as flawlessly as possible. However, it is a mod in a game world where many of you are using hundreds of mods together. And realistically, there must be situations we haven't foreseen that you might run into.
Therefore, we have built in "emergency-solutions for you". These are included in Vilja's Start Combat spell (which you normally use to help her pick a combat-target).
If you cast the Start Combat spell on Vilja herself you will get a new menu, where you can reset her temporary variables and animation. It should sort out most kinds of issues with her.

Thanks for the suggestion, it didn't seem to work, sadly I'm thinking maybe I should just reinstall Vilja and take her to Heneri, it sounds like Heneri can bring her to just after she recovered from the poison? (Hmm, how would I go about uninstalling/reinstalling? Is it just a case of deleting and then re-extracting the esp and bsa, or is it more complicated than that?)

I think that's a separate thing, there is two poison quests. I am sorry that I can't be more helpful. You may be correct, I would ask Emma but she is unavailable for a few days. I went through her command tree and she doesn't have the same problem resolution tools as the Skyrim version. Which is more my focus. I just don't have enough information at my fingertips about the Oblivion version of Vilja. You might want to ask over here. www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/28977/?Since people that are currently playing her in Oblivion are usually watching the posts there. Some smarter person will probably think to themselves, "Ah, she did that to me last week, I know the answer."

I remember finding that it worked best to leave Vilja at home while she was recovering from her poisoning. I used Emma's home that overlooked the Imperial City www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/28702/? and just left her there for about a week, while I went and did other things. When I came back she was ready to go! Collin is right, you do have to use a store bought potion, craftable ones will not work. I never had issues with summoning her in Oblivion, but if she's still sick, that's probably the issue. I really felt bad for Vilja, the first time that poisoning happened, as if I remember correctly she was kind of bent over in pain.

Yeah, it was a store bought potion, she's currently standing in the garden of Maple Cottage, it's been over a week and she's still bent over, I'll leave her for a few more days (I've been reloading when I check and she's still not well, so I've not been resetting any timers on how long she's been alone) and then maybe try the reinstallation thing, I'm assuming you have to make friends again if you do that, though, so I'm fairly reluctant.
