'Dovahkiin and The Apprentice of Thu'um'. This is a quest in the Quests section on Nexus. On completion, it allows player to teach shouts to a follower. What is the difference between a companion and a follower?
Vilja is my companion. Would player be able to teach her some shouts? Would it break Vilja or the game in her case? As opposed to a follower. As shown under:
Disarm shout Dismay Shout Dragonrend Shout Elemental Fury Shout Ethereal Shout Fire Breath Shout Frost Breath Shout Ice Form Shout Kyne Peace Shout Storm Call Shout Unrelenting Force Shout Whirlwind Sprint Shout - in version 2.0 Marked for Death Shout - in version 2.0 Animal Allegiance- in version 3.0 Dawnguard Edition: Drain Vitality Shout Soul Tear Shout Dragonborn Edition: Battle Fury Shout Bend Will Shout Cyclone Shout Dragon Aspect Shout (under severe restrictions like player level, enemy's level etc)
Just watched the video It seems it's only one shout per follower/companion.

The terms Follower and Companion are interchangeable - they are the same.

Companion was used with previous TES games but Skyrim came with the companions faction in place of the fighters guild so companions were called followers instead to keep from being confused with the actual companions like Aela.
As for the mod itself the only thing you can do is give it a try and see if it will cause problems. There is a very good chance it will make changes that will break Vilja so be sure to make a save before trying it out on Vilja.
