Cheydinhal Swan Cottage ver 1.01

Description
===========

Cheydinhal Swan Cottage is located on the island in the centre of the city of Cheydinhal.Enjoy the company of swans and ducks as you spend an evening outdoors, enjoy the company of your neighbors when they come to sit at your outdoor table. The house is filled with crafting facilities.
You buy the house at Borba's Goods and Stores in Cheydinhal, and she will also sell you supply material for crafting.

Cheydinhal Swan Cottage is made from one of Stroti's house models, www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/41086/? .It is companionfriendly, lorefriendly and includes an abundance of crafting facilities (ingame crafting manual is provided). There are beds for two persons, and plenty of storage space - +25 nonrespawning containers in the main area and +30 nonrespawning containers in the basement.



COBL-addon
==========

A COBL-addon is provided for COBL-users. It will add the following features:

- The Luggage - is located close in the basement, next to the workbench, but is only available if you have found the original Luggage in Anvil.
- Alchemy sorter - is located in the basement, over the wine racks.
- A grinder is placed in the alchemy shelf.
- Dinnerplate is placed on the dinnertable.
- One of the kegs in the basement will give water if you are using a survival mod.

I have choosen to make a COBL-add-on instead of a full COBL-version. My main reason for this is that I tend to continue to tinker on and improve my mods, and then I don't want to have to alter two esps. Obviously, the add-on has to load AFTER Leyawiin House mod, else many of the COBL-functions won't work.



Special Features
================

The cottage includes the following facilities:
- Crafting facilities:
- you may craft leather armor from pelts
- you may craft jewels from gold- and silver nuggets or silver items - smelter facility in the garden.
- you may craft lockpicks from smelted metal items.
- you may spin wool - there is a respawning wool barrel in the main cottage and you can buy more wool at the general store.
- extensive crafting manual is provided in the cottage.
- you may make your own soup or stew in the cooking pot at the fireplace.
- you may make your own coffee by using the coffee pot at the fireplace.
- you may light/extinguish the fires by activating the wateringcans placed next to them.
- you may make your own alchemy potions by activating the alchemy equipment in the basement.
- you may repair your equipment by activating the basement anvil.
- you may pour beer and wine from the kegs. Please use the empty bottles in the nearby crates for this purpose.
- you may cure yourself at the statue at the bedside chest.
- you may give your companions additional orders while in the cottage. In order to do this, make sure that they each carry a "companion key" which can be found in a small chest on a bench close to the entrance. (You may have to make sure that your companion is not in following mode when you give the additional orders, else it might not work properly).
- daylight will automatically vanish during the night hours.
- the containers are non-respawning, with some exceptions: the wool barrels, and the trashbin in the basement. These containers are clearly marked as "RESPAWNING"

Install
=======
Just drop the bsa-package and the the esp in your Oblivion/Data folder. Don't forget to check the mod when starting the game!

This looks like a really nice small cottage in a pretty setting. I have Oblivion up and running again and dear Vilja collected from where I had left her, so I think it will be a nice change from Skyrim to occasionally spend a little time in Cyrodiil again.

I installed it tonight and stayed for a while. It is really very nice indeed, both the cottage and the setting and it is also in one of my favourite places in Oblivion, i.e. Cheydinhal. I added a screen shot and an endorsement on the Nexus page. Thanks, Emma.

I recognised a familiar Emma touch in the layout of the interior, i.e. just like Highview Cottage, it is well laid out with several useful interactive features.

It was a nice change from Skyrim to visit Cyrodiil again and I plan to take a break there more often from now on. I collected Vilja from Chorrol where I'd left her after my last visit and we travelled the roads to Cheydinhal, calling in at Aleswell on the way where I realised that wasn't the latest version so I updated it. Swan cottage has also inspired me to begin updating my other Oblivion mods. I already had several of Emma and Co.'s mods but some weren't the latest versions, including to my surprise, Vilja herself.

Yes, the lovkullen site should be updated, but some add-ons for Vilja are only on the Nexus-site (custom looks etc that takes a lot of server space).

I also find it really nice to play and mod Oblivion ever so often; the atmosphere is so friendly after Skyrim, both when it comes to the game and the "demands" from players. And at this time of the year, I really don't need more snow ingame than what I have at home! So I have been updating some of my housemods, and made these two new ones, Leyawiin and Cheydinhal. And then of course the packponies are new; Wolf has made the models, and I have made them companion animals/mounts. Hmm... I think also the Useful farm animals mod has been made after the release of Skyrim, it's also by Wolf and me.

Emma, just picking up your point regarding not wanting to have snow both in Skyrim and at home at the same time; do you remember me recommending some mods to you last wintertime that remove the snow and change the Skyrim winter into springtime? I use them all the time and they really do make Skyrim a much more pleasant place to explore, at least in my opinion.

In keeping with Emma's comment... How lovely that snow fall is is in inverse proportion to the availability of heat. Recalling going out the door and crunching through six inches of snow to discover someone had stolen all our firewood.

As for Swan Cottage, it's absolutely lovely! The ducks and swans the perfect touch. I HATE IT! EMMA!! Have you any idea how that place is going to look after a completely disorganized top professional hoarder like myself has their way with it? Keep in mind I trashed Rosethorn Hall with junk so bad it crashes the game to enter the place.
So Emma, would you be so kind as to set a whatever on the house where the PC cannot drop anything and after a sensible amount of storage is used, say 155,000 items, you get an error 'You can't do that in here. Please go outside into the wilderness far from the city and start your own landfill.'
(Hugs Emma. It's wonderful. I just need to find a use for the place that fits in with my 'bull in a china shop' mentality.)

I was thinking that with so many containers, you could put your stuff in them instead. Or in the respawning trashbin in the basement! But, as I have kids, I know how this works. Why put the laundry in the laundry-basket when there is a floor right at your feet? Why take 35 seconds to place your bags and books and PC-games in a cupboard when it takes only 1 second to jump over them on the floor?

Yes, that did occur to me but I thought I'd mention it anyway just in case it was something you might fancy as a change when you were taking a break. I know Oblivion is you first choice for that of course!

This made me laugh because it is so true! But I also laughed because not only do I remember that sort of thing with our kids when they were young, our daughter has since had the same sort of thing with her kids! And I guess it will go on through the generations. Hannah is now quite tidy and complains about her brother instead.

The containers in Swan Cottage are great and I think they will be getting a lot of use from me too. I always seem to accumulate lots of items I want to keep.

I have released an update of this mod. There was an error with the cooking script, so if you had made mudcrab soup, you would continue to get only mudcrab soup from it. On my website, the new version is available. On Nexus, there is also an esp-only update (tiny download)
