Apologies to all who worked on it but I am avoiding using Vilja's wardrobe for a variety of reasons.
IS there or could there be a simple way of telling Vilja, maybe in the dialogue menu 'let me check your gear', to wear a specific item? IE, "Vilja, please wear this" and she wears it until you remove it from her inventory. Something really simple. Perhaps, a way to temporarily set an extremely overinflated value or rating the forces that game mechanics to tell her to use the item??
For example, we had to crawl a dungeon and we both got a serious ass whooping and barely made it out alive. Well, Vilja is revealed in the moonlight, slightly indecent and lovely and wrong wrong wrong! I check her inventory and she had put on armor one half the rating of what I had given her because it had a slightly higher base value.
Worse yet she had found a gold diamond necklace, bracers and helm of a higher base value than the enhanced enchanted items I had given her. In one swell arbitrary foop her protection was halved and her one handed attack went from saber toothed lion to small kitten.
So we were thinking, if it is possible, to have an addition to the menu when giving her items to have a 'Please wear this' over-ride.
PS Please don't go into her wardrobe. Between it's complexities and our world class game crashing abilities... Let's not go into details.
To ramble on and get ignored... Examples. We change armor or clothing constantly. What looks good in the moonlight, looks good in the morning, looks comfy in the rain, looks nice in the evening and so on. We don't go by location and circumstances. In the city wear this, in combat that and blah blah.
And then, well take Vilja right this moment. Go to a certain dungeon and get some goodies then go to a certain forge and make some non body slot apparel- armor. Then do some smithing and a little enchanting and tada... >>> Black calf high boots, dark green leggings, foresworn topless armor over a fur skirt, dark green tunic and arm bands and a matching dark green jeweled circlet. But she absolutely refuses to combine non body slot and regular.
So Vilja gets dressed. Bare boobs and skimpy skirt, the boots, wolfcry helmet and ugly bracers. 3 freaking hours getting her new look all spiffed up!
Squishy: "Hey, come look at this! Was this your plan? Dumpster diver rat woman?"
