All my homes are fully pathgrided for companions, including my Tavern Tours Oblivion I just don't have any with spare beds for them to sleep! The Haven of Weye and Primrose Cottage aren't so good because although fully path grided, some furnitures are marked as owned. Ouch! A bed for at least one companion sounds like too much of a 'necessity' to me to make the houses quality as companion-friendly. Let me know if you update any of them, and I'll add them to the list (a double-bed would be sufficient - a companion can sleep there as long as there is no ownership set). Double beds are the norm for me never fear.

Yes, but then they are companionfriendly, right? So I can add them to the list?
EDIT: I have added them... maybe you could have a look and see so that I haven't added somethiing that shouldn't be there or forgotten something that should have been there?

Cheydinhall Home Anvil Docks Abode Primrose Cottage The Haven of Weye These ones only have a single bed and the ones at Weye don't have enough room for more than the player but I'm going to update them today and upload soon as I've made a extra bedroom. Also, not sure if this counts but......Tavern Tours Oblivion has rentable rooms, is fully pathgrided and there is room for a companion in most of the beds. edit: Cheydinhall Home has now been updated with a new bedroom which means, more room for 2 companions. It now has 2 beds, 1 single, 1 double. Single is upstairs in a tiny bedroom the double is now the master bedroom.

Hi Emma,I believe House Cerane by Carl.S qualifies as a companion friendly home.I've been using it as my main base for a long time.A well made house covering three floors,Vilja,Viconia & Saphiria get along well as there are three beds.I sleep on the rug in front of the roaring fire.LOL.

I added my new mod Red Rose Manor to this list. This mod is actually extra companionfriendly and HEY FABLE, ARE YOU THERE??? it has space for 7 companions! Excerpt from description: ...and now that I have been advertising my own work  ... Maybe someone else also has more mods to add to the list?

I have added a few more houses to this list.
Note: On TESNexus, one can now tag-search for companionfriendly houses. So far, only a few modders have tagged their houses as companionfriendly, so I'll continue with this list for now. I will try to regularly add the houses listed as companionfriendly to this list (unless I have tested them and found that they don't have any sleeping accomodation for companions, in which case I don't feel they belong in the companionfriendly cathegory). By suggesting Companionfriendly as a tag on your favorite houses on Nexus, you can help to make this Nexus tag-search more useful.

Hey Emma, sorry I've taken so long to respond to provide you the list I promised you. For my favorite abode mods, apart from the aesthetics & unique features in these abodes, I want that they should have good NPC pathgrids, the interior should preferably be single-celled , and most of them should have already beds & chairs/stools/benches and dining-table & food for companions. Sometimes, I find my companions can roam an awesome abode very well but need a place to sleep or sit, so I drop a few Breadrolls and Bedrolls, or I use Imperial Furniture Renovated mod to add a few beds and chairs, to make sure my pals are comfy in their new residence.
Almost all the abodes I've listed below are available on TESNexus, ORE or TESA; (otherwise, a quick search on Google or Bing, with the abode name and author name, will pull up the download link(s))
"Akera's House" by Akera
"Carah's Caravan" by Carah
"CM Solace" by Blackie (CutthroatMods)
"The Golden Tower" by Rajar
"Lavish Mage Tower of Alchemy Power" by Tchos
"Eye of Nirn" by CrazyDave
"Celestiel Lagoon" by Lemunde
"Camping" by Maskar
"Adventures Gear" by Ceano
"Phinix Portable Tent" by Phinix
"Big Portable Tent" by Bond
"Forgotten Tower" by Tefle Huden
"Chorrol Underground Hideaway" By Foodguy100
"Top of the World" By Vince Bly
"Gnoll Mountain Retreat" By Bond
"Mountain Tower" by Sage Rime
"Archfall Sanctuary House" by Lord_HaiRyus
"Flying Island House" by aoringo
"Garden Retreat" by Anorial
"House on the Bluff" by McTrooper240
"Avai Rii" by kalikut
"Waterlogged Tower" by Yevic
"The Topal Vessel" by Lewis
"House Saitereth" by HavenOfDarkness
"Silent Stones Camp" by Trollf
"Sanctum Sanctorum" by Modzillaz
"All In One Basement" by TomWithTheWeather
"Colovian Estate" by BlackBelt
"Abandoned Mountain Shack" by Vince Bly
Apologies if some of these abodes are not as companion-friendly as one might like. Also, I am aware some of these mods don't really count as abodes, but like I said, a few bedrolls and some food can make all the difference in turning a convenient hangout into a companion-friendly abode.
Keep up all your good work, I don't know how you manage so many things in life so well!
All the best Em!

A minor request - can you add an indication on the list of how many companions the houses provide beds for? I'm running around with Vilja and Neeshka - and creating a mod of my own that has two companions (so that it can have dialog between them, as well as with the player). I'm therefore particularly interested in houses for three.

Ghastley, for many of the houses I simply don't know. Many of them are added to the list on recommendations by others, other houses I have tested myself but don't have them on my mod list anymore and don't now how many bedplaces there are in them.
Of my own mods, I know that you will have room for more than one companion in: Roxey Cottage (2), Aleswell Cottage (4), Fishermans Cottage (2), Lakeside Home (3), Red Rose Manor (9). Bravil Bridge Cottage and Waterlily Cottage only have room for one companion.

I think Almgard castle is compatible. I know she worked well with the summer home (a sort of clone of Benerus manor) in that mod which was surprising as it heavily mods the area outside of Anvil. I walked her from the summer home to Anvil and she lead me back home again without incident. I haven't tried the actual Keep yet as a home for her but she seems to get around in relax mode there just fine. Its actually well made for companions and gives them ample roaming room and NPC's to chat with.
