Hi. I'm wanting to remove the playgrounds and swingsets from CoM (they just feel way too modern and anachronistic IMO). But first, will this break anything? Like, either in the mod itself, or anything involving interaction between CoM and other mods on the website.
If it won't, then as a follow-up question: since editing mods in TESCS always seems to add GMSTs (unless I'm just doing it wrong, which is very likely since I have very little experience with the CS outside of minor edits to a couple of mods), would I be able to clean this edited version with TESTool without breaking it?

I don't think that should break anything - but keep a save before you make the changes, just as a precaution. My understanding is that GMST contamination arises when you use the Construction Set on a mod without having one of the expansions (Tribunal or Bloodmoon) loaded - there's a useful description here. I don't recall whether COM is dependent on Tribunal (Emma's companion mods are, but the others may not be). If you make sure that either Tribunal or Bloodmoon is loaded into the CS when you edit CoM then you shouldn't have any GMST problems. Loriel

Thank you very much! I just made the edit, used TESTool on the .esp, and tested it. Everything works perfectly -- there weren't even any GMSTs that needed to be cleaned!
