Hey everyone! I just joined up. A few days ago, I felt a bit nostalgic, and decided to reinstall Morrowind. Of course I searched for mods too, and found this great site... Of course, first thing I did to download Children of Morrowind ver2.0. So, here's my prob: I just started my new game, and the children are nothing more than big yellow exclamation marks... Something is wrong with the meshes. I installed as instructed, and I doubt it is caused by MGE. It cannot be a BSA issue, both BSAReg and BSAPack confirmed it is right. Maybe it is the family mod? I hope not. Please help!!!

The best thing I can suggest is to check your morrowind.ini file in the archive section to make sure that the children.bsa file is in there. I don't know what the file's actual name is, but there should be at least three together: tribunal.bsa, bloodmoon.bsa and the com.bsa. If it's missing, you can manually add it in to see if it works. If that doesn't, make sure the bsa file is in the main data files folder and not in a sub-folder or try redownloading it to make sure you didn't get a corrupted file.

Here is my archives section of the INI: [Archives] Archive 0=Tribunal.bsa Archive 1=Bloodmoon.bsa Archive 2=MW_Children_1_0.bsa Archive 3=firstguard.bsaű The filename is the same and I re-downloaded for about 3 times. Altough I can always try again.

Is the bsa-package correctly placed in your Morrowind DataFiles section?
Your INI looks correct as far as I can see, but the problem is definitely what you would have if you hadn't the bsa installed. What system are you running on? I have no idea how Windows 7 might affect the procedure, could that maybe be the problem?
If nothing else works, you could extract the bsa. Then you will get meshes, textures etc as with other Morrowind mods.

Archive 3=firstguard.bsaű Is this bsa file correct or is that you have mistaken add a letter after the "bsa"? If it's correct you could try edit morrowind.ini again. If you want to follow Emma's suggestion to extract bsa files, I would recommend that use BSA Browser to work with that kind of file. That tool can unpack, create, browse and register bsa properly in Morrowind.

I extracted the files using BSAPack but it still doesn't works. I use WinXP Service Pack 2(altough I downloaded the SP3 patch with the other updates). I downloaded the Elric Melniborne site version. Maybe it's esp is corrupted or wrong?

I extracted the files using BSAPack but it still doesn't works. I use WinXP Service Pack 2(altough I downloaded the SP3 patch with the other updates). I downloaded the Elric Melniborne site version. Maybe it's esp is corrupted or wrong? I use XP too, that surely isnt the problem. And you have Morrowind installed in the 'normal' location? (C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind\) And you can see the bsa-package placed in your C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind\Data Files folder? You haven't renamed the esp-file or the bsa? No, it cannot be the elricm download - it has been there for years, 30 000 people at least have downloaded it there and they can use it. So something else is your problem. Of course, you can grab it from my site instead (link in my sig), in case there indeed has happened something to it, but I very much doubt it. The Morrowind family mod doesn't include any meshes or textures, so it's not the reason why you have exclamation marks. It's a clear indication of that your bsa doesn't work as it should.

I've just check both archives of CoM 2.0 on Emma's and ElricM's site. I didn't install CoM, but from I can see there is nothing wrong with these archives perhaps you have not installed Robert's meshes with correct Morrowind\Data Files path. I think you need to install Robert's headpack to fix this issue.

I installed it in F:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind As you can see, the only change is the drive letter(d:\ is taken up by the USB plug) And no, i didn't renamed them, and i can see both the esm & bsa in the folder.

I think you're gonna to remove CoM and install it again.
If that not fix it I'm afraid you have to run BSAreg tool again after a reinstallation of CoM.
