Hi, everyone! This question is for Emma primarily, but other people might have thoughts as well.
First, I love the Playable Children mod! It adds a new variety after many years of playing vanilla Morrowind. I also am new to mods and I don't have any idea how making or changing mods work.
I was wondering if it would be possible to change the permanent underwear on the playable children to have multiple lore friendly options? For instance, depending on where your character is from, options for bear or wolf pelt, tiger, leopard, or zebra skin, leather, or satin/silk for wealthier backgrounds would fit in nicely. Also, the option for a permanent loincloth, like the many past cultures have worn would be lore appropriate.
I don't know if it would be possible to have a selectable option at character generation or changeable afterwards? Or if that could only be done by creating a new children's clothing mod that would cover the permanent underwear.
Anyway, I was curious how that might work or if was even possible. I have looked around for clothing options to cover up the permanent underwear, like having a Nord barbarian character with a bear or wolf skin pelt briefs, but I couldn't find anything. The closest I got was a loincloth mod that the children can wear, but the permanent briefs show through.
Anyway, just wanted to ask that question. I would try to make a mod for more Children clothes options, but I have no idea how to make a mod!
Thanks for any thoughts!

Unfortunately Emma is away for the next couple of weeks or so, with limited internet access, so probably won't be around much on the forum until next month.
It should be possible to achieve this, but there would probably be a lot of work involved in changing numerous body models. Not an area of modding that I've tried myself.

I'm leaving tomorrow morning, so I'm still here . The underwear is a part of the model itself, so changing it wouldn't be easy. The easiest option would be to just change the texture for that part of the model, so that for instance you have a furry looking texture on the nord boys underwear. I would have to go through the textures and models on my other computer in order to tell you exactly how to do this, but I simply haven't got the time as I'm finishing up my packing. It could be good practicing for you to grab the existing clothing mod for the children and find the texture folder there and change some textures for your own usage. Make sure you back up the folder first, unless you know how to make new clothes in the construction set. There are several tutorials for how to use the construction set, I think there are some in the pinned thread in this forum, and you can always google it.

Thank you both so much for responding! I have started looking at information on the construction set, how mods work, and how to use the CS. It is a lot of information!
You have already given me some good ideas and I will start exploring to see what I can find. I am still trying to work out a few issues with my loaded mods and trying to figure out how to get the Orphanage mod to run without a bunch of errors. But I will also try to learn more about modding!
I hope you have a safe trip! And I can honestly say that your mods, Emma, are some of my favorites and why I finally decided to give mods a try!
Thanks again!
