Hallo, folks - I'm setting up a mod list for Special Edition, and I'm a little worried as to whether a couple of my mods are safe for Vilja, specifically: Convenient Horses SENether's Follower FrameworkAnd Better Face Lighting. I used the original CH alongside Vilja with no issues, but as the SE version was pretty much rebuilt from the ground up, I thought I'd ask if anyone has had issues/has played with both and NOT had issues. Obviously for both CH and NFF, I would *not* try to control Vilja with them (NFF has an 'import into framework' dialogue option for unique followers, so long as you don't touch that, in theory, it should 'ignore' them), but I do worry a little that they might still somehow get their hooks into Vilja or another custom follower. On the other hand, I want horses that are a bit more, well, convenient than vanilla, and I would like to be able to bring Auri *and* Lydia along sometimes. (I know Vilja has the option to have followers tag along after her, but I've had a few strange things happen with that in SE, so I'm wary of it, too - tried to get one follower (non-vanilla, but not on a custom framework) to follow Vilja, and Vilja refused to leave Dragonsreach after that.) As far as the face lighting mod, it's purely cosmetic and I don't *think* it could cause issues, but better safe than sorry.

I use CH (and Horse Storage - Nexus mod #3838) in SSE, never had any problems with either of them, even when running both at the same time. I use Facelight Plus SE (#16736) instead of Better Face Lighting, never tried that, but Sthaagg has done great work in his other mods, so I'd not feel too worried about trying Better Face Lighting. Don't use any follower framework, with Vilja, and Interesting NPCs, and sometimes M'rissi or Inigo, never felt the need to use or manage vanilla followers.

Well, I am wanting to use Auri, who is custom-voiced and awesome, but runs on the vanilla framework, making her a little 'flat' compared to other followers I'm playing with. I'd like to bring Lydia along sometimes, too, and maybe certain other vanilla followers, so a framework is necessary for those (IMO!) Thanks for the feedback on CH and Sthaagg

If you want extra followers along Vilja can have Followers. Tell Lydia to to follow Vilja then recruit Auri... Will work no problem at all.

Well, I was trying to do that, but it kept bugging out, first Auri just wouldn't come along, until I told her to come with me instead of Vilja, then I tried dismissing her and telling Celia (also on the vanilla framework, though she has a few unique functions) to follow her and Auri to come with me, and then Vilja wouldn't leave Dragonsreach, even if I summoned her she just turned around and went back in, chatting away to Celia. I guess I could test with a fully vanilla follower, Uthgerd or someone, I've got Nether in my current test game and Vilja seems okay, but I don't know how long it would take for issues to show up...

Well, the way it works is that you need to recruit a follower then tell them to follow Vilja. Then they are on her framework. They will then follower her even if you tell her to relax and she wanders off to the market. They will stick to her like glue. They are no longer on your framework. You can then recruit another follower then tell them to follow Vilja, this will remove them and put them on hers. To get them back you need to remove them one at a time from her framework. Remove from her then dismiss, remove from her then dismiss... If you get my meaning... Fun fact you can do this with extraneous followers... Without paying them... They are willing to follow her without a fee...

Yup, I've done it before in Oldrim, but for some reason it's not working when I try it now. Like I said, Auri did not come with us when she was supposed to follow Vilja, she just stayed put while we went into the tavern, and such, and when I asked Celia to follow Vilja, Vilja wouldn't come with me, just kept going back into Dragonsreach. Oh well, I'll probably try and do without Nether, if nobody's got any experience with it and Vilja, I'd like to use it, but it's probably not worth the risk

Can anyone recommend a cbbe-friendly swimsuit mod for SSE? Seeing as Vilja has the option for swimwear, I might as well, I don't really want a super skimpy bikini, though, which is all I've found so far.

I guess I may as well add to this rather than starting a new thread - how do I get Tindra back to her mum? We've gone back to Dawnstar and I can't find Idegun, neither Vilja nor Tindra seem to have any 'time to go home' type dialogue options, I'm not entirely sure what to do now? It's fun having a kid along with us some of the time, but I don't necessarily want her coming on longer trips with us (for her own sake if nothing else!) and I'm usually ending up sending her and Vilja together home to Breezehome to hang out with my kids... And presumably her mother would like to see her again, too!

(I found one post on the Nexus about how to send her home, but we're not married, so obviously there's no 'Married Life' topic...)
Edit - never mind, went through all her dialogues again and found the right option.

Nether's is a great follower mod. It handles Interesting NPCs and Auri fine. For Auri set Nether's not to handle her horse. A number of people add Lucien to the framework so he can have a horse. I haven't had any problem doing this. Don't use Nether's with Vilja or Inigo. It breaks them.

Ah, you see, I know not to use Nether *on* Inigo or Vilja, but what I've not been quite able to establish is if it's safe to have it installed alongside Vilja (it seems fine for Inigo and Lucien, but I know Vilja's had issues with stuff like MHIYH before...) provided I'm extremely careful not to accidentally click on the 'import' button.
Still, I've been testing her alongside it this playthrough (around 30 hours so far) with no apparent problems.
By the way, does Tindra ever go to bed/is there some way to tell her to? Vilja is currently sleeping (next to Erik...) in the basement room of Breezehome Expanded TNF, and Tindra is standing on a box at the end of the bed, giggling and then whining about being tiiiiiiiiiired. There's plenty of beds...
