I have used it, but it was a good while ago now. I'd have to start all over again from scratch since I've forgotten how to use it. In the past I used to do a lot of reskinning of meshes for Oblivion, but I don't know where any of the files are now. Most probably on the hard drive that died knowing my luck.

Nifskope is pretty easy next to Blender & 3DMax. And providing you have the setting correct, you can usually copy & paste together all sorts of crazy things. Drop your zombie body into a variety of armors/clothes, for example. As long as one doesn't start rotating meshes (requiring re-rigging) the results are usually successful. If nothing else...you can do things like weld a seam-hider permanently onto your basic body freeing up amulet and tail slots for other things.

My daughter tried to teach me how to use Blender, but with my slow sleepy brain I just couldn't get the hang of it. You certainly are starting me thinking about doing some modding again even though it might be a slow learning curve for me this time around. This illness I have wasn't so much of a problem three years ago when I was last doing Oblivion modding.

Think if you could replace all the bodies you never use with ones you do use...and of your own making. Well...you can. The Construction Set is also a necessity...obviously...to make all the Nifskope efforts available as clothes/armor/etc in your game.

To add...a membership over at LL gets you close to the cutting edge stuff for Oblivion. I'm sure they'd like your input on the female monster thread.

I used to use the Construction Set a lot, but when I downloaded it yesterday there seemed to be some changes from the version I last used. Placing objects in the game world seemed different to what I remember, but I did figure it out in the end. At the moment I'm just using the vanilla body, with Corronerras maximum compatibility skeleton. There's so many body mods now and a lot of them I don't care for in the slightest. When I last played Oblivion I was using Eshmes female body which I liked, but I guess that would be well out of date now.

They'd hate me and think I was an old fashion prude. Perhaps not, but I don't like mods that try and turn Oblivion into a dirty movie. Armour for woman can be entirely practical and also elegant and stylish at the same time. Garments can be stunningly stylish and feminine and not show any skin. Possibly all the things the mod makers at LL don't want to hear.

... I'd have to start all over again from scratch since I've forgotten how to use it. .... Lol, I feel like that every time I fire up the CS for Oblivion or Morrowind; years ago the keyboard commands were second nature, now I constantly refer to tutorials. Much like reinstalling a favorite old game only to realize you're forgotten how to play. This must be akin to that arcane memory quirk whereby you can sing along to every popular song from your high school days but cannot recall your current phone number.

You'll want to fire-up the CS with OBSE, as well. Google for the how to...it's easy.

The Oblivion section is a fairly small band of regulars...mostly modders. Very active for such an old game, though. The most popular by far is The Sims in various versions....and Skyrim of course. Skyrim is more the build it for a 'dirty movie' set-up...as the huge number of downloads for it attest. Oblivion is still very much Oblivion.

Doubtful, because everyone has their own idea of what Oblivion, or Morrowind, should be; LL has become a home for many "dirty" mods because they allow discussion of such, which many sites do not, but I have found them welcoming to any serious modder. I think many of those mods are from younger players motivated by modern comic books ...pardon, "graphic novels"... and console games where every hero is a musclebound lout in a cybersuit and every heroine an overly endowed vixen wearing no more than required to appease the censors. You are not a prude for expecting clothing appropriate to the task; coal miners don't wear tuxedos and women in combat wouldn't wear skimpy bikinis. Vilja dons a bikini when she goes swimming but, in my game at least, she's armored like a tank when it's time to fight.

I've been modding since the days of Combat Flight Simulator I...and that's a while back now! Those were the days...The Zone.

Still have FS9 and CFS3 (with Firepower) installed. Been modding since SWOTL and Indy 500: the Simulation; was beta tester for Sierra about twenty years ago ...seems like a century (look at computers then and now, seems like two centuries).
My most fun "mod" for CFS was porting over all the FS98 aircraft, creating dp and weapon files for them, new liveries, and attacking 747s with rocket armed Lear Jets

Liberators were lots of fun...as were the B-25s. Plus I was a prolific scenery/mesh designer.

My daughter is very much into flight sims. She always wanted to learn to fly and get a pilot's licence, but she has a disability which put a stop to that unfortunately. I know the one she has at the moment is fairly sophisticated and I can't remember which one it is. I'll have to ask her.
