I am sort of new to the modding community and recently got started in Oblivion. I did play through Morrowind, but I didn't get a chance to mod it.
Now with Skyrim coming out I will be looking to mod that. What are you old schoolers going to do? Stick with Morrowind or give Skyrim a try?

I'll wait until it's out and see what the reviews say. That and I'd like an idea as to how hard/easy it would be to mod before I make the switch.

I'll very likely try it, but I'm not pre-ordering, I'll wait till it's out and there's a good variety of reviews to check. if I don't like the sounds of it then I'll wait until the modding community has had time to work their magic as they surely will

A week or so after it comes out, I'll take the laptop to the mall (for the wifi) and download as many youtube videos of the game as are available. That will give me a better idea of what the game is really like.
Being a cheap *******, if I do decide that I want the game, I'll most likely wait for the GOTY edition. Of course, if the game does not make Game Of The Year there will probably still be some sort of all-expansions-included compilation.

Oh, I'm going to play it for sure... and if I like the game and the construction set, I'll mod, too... But of course only after playing through the game thoroughly. I guess I'll buy it as soon as it is available, but probably not pre-order.

I'll let everyone else be the guinea pigs (post-beta testers), wait a few months and see what they have to say, then make my decision. I never bought Oblivion.

my computer more then likley is not going to run it( at a playable lvl.). if it were just a wee bit faster id say yah. but that wont stop me from getting it .when i first got oblivion i was running it on a pent 4 with 1 gig of ram i had to have everthing turned off pretty much even the grass. i have followed the elder scrolls from the begining. and im going to stick it out till they are done. id say about the time they come out with a GOTY edition ill have a computer that can do it justice.

Oh, definitely going to be playing it and modding it. I think what I'll have to do is just play it non-stop as soon as it's out, then start trying to mod it later.

I'll probably have to upgrade my system before it'll run in more than basic graphics mode; but I had to do that with Oblivion at first, so no big deal. I'll probably wait until after the holiday season, when it goes on sale, before I purchase it though.

I don't know. As it now looks i don't look forward to it. I don't like the idea of deleting stuff like mysticism. I wait first.

If I don't find a job by the time it's out, I won't be buying it. Might be playing it though.

I'm really looking forward to it. To the point of foregoing eating out etc to afford a new PC for it. However. with the stories of it being Steam only my excitement has cooled. Steam on my son's PC has been an absolute nightmare. We were going to buy 2 copies to start with , onefor me and one for my wife.
Now I don't know for myself and my wife has said she refuses to have Steam on her PC.
I'm seduced by the trailers enough, I may give in though.

I'm sorry for being so illiterate, but could anyone explain what it means that a game is for Steam only, what causes and concequences this will have? I don't have anything that is for Steam, I'm embarrassingly unfamiliar with it.
