Anyone got the game yet?
I have it, but haven't got much further than character creation yet - spent like an hour on deciding what my character should look like.
But it does look very good so far.

I thought the faces in char creation would look better. Apart from that, the game seems okay. I did have a crash to desktop the first time I took a shot at the bear in the cave. Second time around I got two arrows in before finishing it off with my sword. Got killed later in Bleak Falls Barrow by a huge spider -- don't go there when you're just lvl 2, I guess.

Well, I had another go at the spider and killed it. Turned out it was too big to follow me and I could just use my fire spell to toch it. Learned another thing later about the Barrow, which could have saved me a return trip.

Still trying to figure all of this out but it is fun. The beginning is pretty neat.
The scenery is stunning, just beautiful (though a bit on the greenish tint) The sound is very good too, and the voices are quite nice IMO.
The faces for once don't s*ck. They are not as good as I hoped but they also don't s*ck.
Played for about 3 hours as a Breton Thief. Found my first enchanted sword and my first dragon rune. ;D Still need to kill a dragon though to shout.
Well that is my first impression of the game.
I am glad I upgraded my vid card though I am only on High and cant get Ultra. I guess I should get a bigger monitor one of these days. :-/
Ok so though this is fun, I am putting this away so that I don't get sucked into the game. Maybe around December Christmas time I may go play again.

Amazing landscapes, creepy dungeons, immersive environment, better npcs than in previous games; they seem to have more depth. So far I spent a few hours dungeoncrawling, I think this is very promising. The overall feeling is more like Morrowind and solstheim than the generic Cyrodiil. Which is good.

I'm loving it!!! Great improvement over "vanilla" Oblivion. It reminds me more Morrowind than Cyrodiil and that is good thing. The NPCs looks more alive, and they chatter too. Loved to fight that spider, used magic, paralising potions, a lot of run, and finished with my sword and shield and a dieeeeeeeeeeeeee shout I updated my sword and armor in some forge, nice feeling. Hunt some wolves for crafting some things. Try some ingredients in an alchemy table. Espectacular graphics, any FPS hit with all maxed. Joined the Companions, and now I'm making some little task for them. BUT I miss Vilja, sometimes I stop and think, what Vilja would have to said about this place, or how she'll behave in that cozy inn. Emma, maybe start with a "simples" Vilja, an then make her grow more and more? I want for my game now Of course, after seeing the future CS. A question, join or not join the Legion? Regards! Xtudo

First impression.... it's different. I never played Morrowind so I can only compare it to Oblivion, which is way more "fairy tale". Skyrim makes a more raw medieval impression. However, the dungeons/temples seem to be better, more diverse, more advanced. Creates some kind of Zelda atmosphere, in stead of the somewhat boring stone tunnel complexes in Oblivion.
I also like the feature to craft items, makes the game more immersive, and last but not least the fighting system is improved. Those kill animations really increase the feeling of triumph when killing some bandits. After all some great improvements, however I personally liked the colourfull world of Oblivion more, but hey we're just playing for one day.
Any idea how long it takes to port Vilja to Skyrim? Half a year, a year? She's one of the main reasons why I can't leave Oblivion yet...

I'm glad others are feeling it's Morrowind-ish. I had some tech difficulties and hope to get in some actual gameplay tomorrow when I have more time. Basically just got to the char creation. Also, the sound is so low I'm having to use headphones.

Found a trap the hard way with my pyromancer. Note to self: pinkish shiny spots on floor are highly combustable......

I think the pinkish and bluish spots on the floor are the same thing, wotan. I learned they can be set of at a distance when I creamed myself in one. Also watch, some places have firepots that are suspended over them (well, pots, at least). Droping them wil have the same effect.

Childlike vampires! Oh Ieya's gonna love this game! Still haven't learned any useful necromancy (I don't consider a 60 sec raise the undead spell to be useful) but we do now have a talking daedric dog in tow
