"Let's make like horse poo and hit the trail as fast as we can!' That's my new favorite line of the week.

"Hobbits!" replied the Elder Vilja incredulously, "Those are just fairy tales... aren't they?". Thinking furiously to himself, Graykin put a possible theory together and spoke " Well as far as I can understand it, we must have slipped into a alternative universe or parallel world when we passed through that unusual ancient tunnel back there!" he sighed to himself, knowing what a can of worms this was opening! It was actually quiet for a moment as the group slowly digested this explanation. Then the Younger Twin spoke up, "I don't know if I like this!" she said with conviction. Everyone else nodded in agreement with her. "This is scary!" her older sister added in a glum tone. "How are we going to find our way back home to Skyrim?". "Hmm... I know, it's bleak, but it seems to me that this is similar to a lot of our legends and fables" glancing around to gauge their reaction, Graykin continued, "like when someone stumbles into a gathering of Elves or Dwarfs and gets taken away by it" he mused. Everyone nodded again and he continued, "What this means for us is unless we need to do a quest of some kind for someone here before we can leave, we can simply trace our path back to that tunnel and return"! He concluded with relief as he saw the company starting to relax, as they thought it over. Everything seemed to be looking up, until Serana suddenly spoke up and said, "But what if we return to a different time?" she stated plaintively, "I've heard this can happen to those so lost! We could be hundreds of years in the future?" she announced fearfully. Everyone gasped as the ramifications of what that would mean to everyone, sunk in. Graykin was taken aback as well, as this was one point he had failed to consider. Looking around at them all he had a sudden flash of insight and smiled. The group looked back in wonder at his abrupt change of mood and their curiosity peaked at what could have possibly brought this about! Looking at them with a deep searching gaze, he simply replied to Serana, "So what! Everyone we care about is here together now and as long as we live... we already have everything we want with each other!" Tears were starting to form as the Twins and family started to move together, "it would just be another great adventure with all of you together with me!" Graykin could feel the tears falling from his face also as they all tightly embraced one another. Speechless for once!

As a reward or perhaps in recognition of their fighting ability, the Vilja Twins were granted a plot of land with their very own fort on it! It surely must have been coincidental, that it just happened to be located where it overlooked an important mountain pass!

While visiting Windhelm, the company stopped at the only known temple to Talos in Skyrim. There they were surprised and impressed by the knowledge that Ceri shared with them about Talos. His history and legacy. Even the resident priest listened respectfully!

While climbing up the side of an old dragon burial site on Solstheim, suddenly a dragon hiding in the pit itself, sprung up and attacked the twins! The younger twin who was the closest was surprised but reacted quickly, burying her sword in the dragon's skull. Unfortunately though, the dying reptile,s last act, was to lunge, catching her in it's jaws. Graykin horrified, immediately started sending healing spells to her, looking for a way to free her from it's jaws while her older sister in a berserk rage, began to literally chop the dragon into pieces!

Does this mean you'll need to start a new "single-trouble" thread? Certainly hope not. Graykin's magic better have been up to snuff! Amazing screen grab, btw.

Hesitantly, Eryniel spoke to Graykin, "She's fighting hard and is showing some improvement, but... we haven't reached the tipping point yet"! "What are you trying to tell me?" Graykin said softly, feeling like a lead weight was in his stomach. "Well..." Eryniel replied reluctantly, "Just that it's to close to tell yet, anyone else would not have lasted this long after being bitten by an Elder Dragon for sure!" she sighed. "No matter what, we'll all just keep on trying our best, wont we!" He responded, "besides if there is no other way..." Graykin glanced significantly at Serana as Eryniel gasped! "She has already agreed to turn her into a vamp, if that's the only way to save her!" He looked weary all of a sudden. Eryniel blurted out, "But she would hate that and be furious!" she said speaking passionately! "I know... we'll just have to cross that bridge if we come to it!" Graykin said with conviction, "If so... eventually she may forgive us for being selfish and not wanting be lose her, don't you think too?" He smiled. "Of course!" Eryniel said and smiled back as she realized the truth of that statement. Suddenly everything seemed a little lighter to them both!

Vilja the Younger paused for a moment before she drank the potion. She was aware of the apprehension that everyone around her was feeling that moment, about Ceri's potion working on her. She had been reluctant to even feel hopeful about it before, because she knew she couldn't continue if it didn't. When she was fading out from the dragon's wounds, Serana had changed her into a vampire at everyone's request. At first she had been furious but also understood why they had. She had endured in this state for several months as everyone took turns when she needed to be fed. No one complained once, but they did joke about having stiff necks afterwards to her embarrassment. She sighed to herself as she remembered how much she had missed the sunlight, but what really convinced her to keep going on was everyone's obvious concern for her. Finally, Ceri had finished making the brew and then Serana had volunteered to take the potion first to be sure it would be safe and actually work. The younger Twin felt the tears forming in her eyes, remembering the excitement when Serana had shown her color changed pupils! The moment of Truth had arrived! "I love you all!" she said as she raised the mug to her lips!

The potion from Ceri worked, but not completely! The younger Vilja could feel some transformation back into human, but there was a lingering core of darkness, she sensed that remained! Sadly as they had all agreed on, the Company followed her to the Shrine of Meridia, a short distance from their cottage. Serana thought it rather strange that the potion had worked on her with no issues, but sensed strongly there might be an evil influence behind Vilja's obstruction! Arriving at the shrine they approached Meridia's statue. The plan was to call on Meridia for assistance and if that failed, Vilja would enjoy one last sunrise together with the Dovakiin, her older twin sister and all her close friends by her side. The mood was sad and grief stricken as everyone stood there gazing up at Meridia's countenance as Ceri muttered prayers and dawn crept closer. Suddenly to everyone's shock and surprise, there was a voice in everyone's head that spoke in a stern tone! "What is this! Who is the Cold Harbor daughter and one of her minions that would dare to come here!" The whole company experienced a probing sensation that left them feeling exposed and naked to the very core of their being. There was a sudden sense of surprise changing into a wry humor in the presence surrounding them. "I see... this is something I could never have foreseen!" Meridia spoke again but everyone could feel the warm regard she now emanated, "The Cold Harbor creature actually voluntarily gave up her vampire powers... because of love! Amazing!" she continued, "Ah... what's this!" her manner turned furious in a moment! "My ancient nemesis has been at work here!" Meridia nearly screeched with fury in their heads, but not at them, they discerned, "Molag Bal I banish you forever from interfering with these lives!". At which pronouncement, an evil malice seemed to have been swept far away by a strong gust of wind. Vilja the Younger was startled to feel herself slowly raising up closer to Meridia's face, noticing a strange glow emanating from her eyes. "Dear one" she heard, "Your pure heart was never in danger, but your life was!". "Go now... and continue the cleansing you and your companions have been so valiantly undertaking, I am in debt to you all!". As she finished Vilja felt herself descending back to the platform where everyone stood watching in joy!

I remember the last time I went to Mount Kilkreath. Had Vilja and Lydia along. They had that typical Vilja-Lydia diet discussion on the balkony. Can't remember what I did with the sword, though. Probably stored in one of my homes somewhere. Did you know Meridia was once an Aedra? In the beginning she was known as Merid-Nunda.
