The Childrean of Morrowind mod is installed and BSAReg ran both were completed without any problems. Loading the game and speaking with Jiub at the begining created an error regarding a missing file (em_rockinghorse2.NIF). To the website I went, aquired and installed said file and then ran the BSAReg once more but the error returned. How is this to be rectified? Is any more information needed?

I've never had that problem myself - though I did need to register the BSA for COM when I reinstalled MW a few days ago.
I don't see anything obviously wrong with the patch - it should put the missing file in Morrowind\Data Files\Meshes\Em_kids as far as I can see, and the file is called "a rocking horse2.NIF", with a size of 29,483 bytes.
Two suggestions - until Emma can come up with a definitive answer. 1) Check that the patch file has gone into the right place 2) Just ignore it for now - there will probably be a couple of rocking horses with "error" markers, but apart from that the game should be playable.

Loriel, upon examining the file size I have determand it to be the correct size. The crash continued so I have elected to delete the game and reinstall it without Childrean of Morrowind until this matter can be corrected. I am certain it is a triffling thing that I myself am the cause of.

Check your Morrowind.ini file and make sure it has something like this about 2/3rds of the way down:
[Archives] Archive 0=Tribunal.bsa Archive 1=Bloodmoon.bsa Archive 2=MW_Children_1_0.bsa
If you don't see MW_Children_1_0.bsa listed, you'll need to manually add it using the next highest archive number. In my case, I only have three bsa files, so COM is #2.

If you only have tribunal.bsa and bloodmoon.bsa added, copy the mw_children.bsa line above and past it below the bloodmoon one. Your entries should then look like mine. Save the file and you should be done. If you have other bsas in there, copy the line, but change the 2 to the next highest available number (3, 4, etc.) and that should do it. If you're having problems, post the archives section here.

Jac, in what fashion am I to manipulate the files? I have downloaded Wrye Mash but that only listed the .esm.

Open the file Morrowind.ini in a simple text editor - such as Notepad - and make the changes there.
It's probably a good idea to take a copy of the file first, in case your edit goes wrong.
I am not sure whether it will fix your problem - I think it is the equivalent of running the BSAReg program again - but it's probably worth trying it.

PS And I wish you a belated welcome to Emma's Forum

What Loriel said. The only reason I recommended looking at the ini file is that BSAReg doesn't work on everybody's computer. I've never used it because it's a simple edit for me and I don't like having to do things twice. If I knew BSAReg worked, I'd use it, but it's not worth it to test it.

I was hoping it'd be something simple like registering the bsa properly. Glad you got it working.
