I seem to have been turned into a vampire? Anyway, I get told I weaken when the sun comes out. I also lose blood as I walk at times?
I remember fighting a bunch of mages all throwing spells at me and one I killed was a 'Vampire Master'?
How can this happen and is there a cure? I'm just in the process of rescuing Vilja from the Ship.
I have never had this happen before so very puzzled and annoyed as I hate vampires.
Tell me there is a cure please, I look dreadful wirh a black face!!at night.

It does sound likely that you have become a vampire. There's some information at www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Vampirism - including a cure. Unfortunately I don't have Skyrim, so can't offer any more help. I do recall that Vilja has some comments about that in Oblivion - something to the effect that she would be willing to lounge around all day in her nightwear looking languid if you become a vampire... I hate to be a vampire, too... If it happens to me (can be prevented by drinking Cure Disease after meeting and fighting vampires) I always reload my last save in order to avoid the vampirism. From what I understand, it's demanding and time-consuming to find a cure. But, some players don't want to find a cure, they love playing as vampires.
(By reading your post, I take it that your previous issue with the ingredients list has been solved?)

There's a small chance that a vampire can infect you with a disease. I think it's called Belua Sanguinaris. If it isn't cured within 72 hours, I believe, of infection you turn into a vampire.

(By reading your post, I take it that your previous issue with the ingredients list has been solved?)[/quote] ..................................................................... Emma thanks for the info' Unfortunately I had deleted nearly all saves leaving just 8 as at that point it hadn't manifested. So either a cure or a new game start.
Re my earlier inquiries about the ingredients : yes that is all done I have to stop drinking with Vilja so much, we had a rather 'bad' night recently including my dancing on a table. I had drunkenly mistaked the weight number for the quantity of taproot. How come she isn't an alcholic?? Must be some drinkers in Solsteim

I'm happy to report that my vampirism has been cured. I went to the temple of Kynareth in Whiterun and there the shrine cured me.

On a different subject, has the speed of Bruse been upped at all every horse I ride including Shadowmere is left behind when Vilja is leading, so much so she has to keep coming back to me!

Congrats to your cure, Gavain. I always had a weird feeling that my character was forced to become a vampire in the course of playing Dawnguard.
And thanks a lot for reporting about Bruse being too fast if Vilja is leading the way. This must be sorted out.

Further to my 'CURE'... not, it seems. When I got up into the colder regions again I started to lose blood and face turned black. Back in Riverwood I have this grey pallor so I think I'm doomed. Do not want to play as a vampire. So, unless there is a sure cure it's back to the start for me.
I shall hold off restart (to see if anyone has a cure) for a couple of days.
Back to the Napoleonic board games, I'm refighting Smolensk as the AustroRussiann alliance.

Congrats to your cure, Gavain. I always had a weird feeling that my character was forced to become a vampire in the course of playing Dawnguard. Only if you want to. There is another way.

There are two ways to cure vampirism.
1: The Companion questline 2: Talk to Falion in Markarth - Side Quest Rising at Dawn

golddragon Only if you want to. There is another way. What way is this please? gavain Serana should have offered this, after you failed to enter the portal: You get partially soul trapped yourself, and will need to find the soul gem once you enter the portal.

Sorry, but I don't know what you are referring to. I haven't been near Serana nor any portals as far as I know which would cause this. Is it acually vampirism I have caught?
