I am not a huge fan of Apachii hair, because they stand out too much to the normal textures and look unnatural therefore. My biggest wish would be a way to proper change Vilja's hair into something vanilla. p.s. sorry Vilja

Well, since Viljas' hair is Apachii.. However if you want, you can go vanilla Skyrim with her. www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/download/1000071896Vilja will use the installed face textures for all female NPCs (She will lose her original look) Would be like Buying a Ferrari Enzo and painting it Ford Green, but whatever.. Just being mean, to each their own.

Just being mean, to each their own. I am 83.7% sure I tried this mod in the process of getting her to use mature skin 2. Finally I made a whole custom mod, following mostly Wolf's guide. Now she has no neck-seam and uses the other skin for the face, but still puts on her blonde Apachii hair. p.s. there is actual a guide and I read it half before I got lost an my head hurt. It is about a whole revamp of Vilja in CreationKit and generating new facegen data for her with a different hair. I'll see if I can find it. Here: emmates.proboards.com/thread/1071/creation-kit-meanAlso by Wolf, but MUCH more complicated pps. this one would be extreme close: 3_Vilja Vanilla Hair02 Platinumblonde Unique Face [ZIP content preview] Custom face with vanilla hair02. I would need custom face with vanilla hair03(dark brown or red) Some day, I may go down that rabbit hole and figure it all out...

I appreciate the complexity. Vilja was specifically designed to Emmas' order, Wolf spent months designing her, to revert her to Vanilla is difficult. Hence the many versions.

Btw, inspired by this thread, I've finally tried out the Hairstyler and I do actually like it a lot, I think I had misunderstood the process, it's actually a lot simpler than I thought. I slightly prefer the selection of styles (and the automagically picking up my pink hair if I have pink hair) on the Apachii Wigs mod, but the colours on this one are mostly a lot nicer, and I appreciate the inclusion of a couple of vanilla styles Plus, the fact that these wigs override hoods means I can take pictures of Rumarin (Interesting NPCs) with nice, non-vanilla hair (ugh, that dirty blond ponytail... no wonder he wears a hood all the time) without messing around confiscating his hood with the console, or having to install EFF which I don't really *need* in my game just to be able to get access to his equipment (no sniggering, class!) As far as I can work out, the two mods are safe to have together, so I'll probably keep both. Just to check, Apachii is listed as a required mod on the mod's description, but it's not a required master of the actual .esp for this mod, and this mod appears to have all the relevant assets, so that means I can safely run this without having Apachii active on this particular profile, right? I have *got* Apachii, but I'm using KS for my character, so I'd rather not have more hair mods active, and I don't massively want a plugin I'm not using taking up space, as I'm getting close to 200 and still have a few mods I'd like to add in later. (Never had more than about 100 active mods before, oops.)

(Never had more than about 100 active mods before, oops.) There were two reasons why I made The Hairstyler dependent on Apachii's basic mod. 1. When I made the Hairstyler there was only Apachii's mod and if there was someone interested in Hairstyles Apachii's mod was most probably already installed. So I could keep the data size of The Hairstyler down by using some of Apachii's files after I got her permission to use her mod contents. But I refrained from forcing the user to download all of Apachii's other mods from only a few hairstyles were taken 2. I had to pay credit to the model artists of the original hairstyles and Apachii's compilation work as well. The easiest way to do this is to create a dependency to give the user the opportunity to also endorse the resource mods. Otherwise I would have to write to all the authors to get their permission to include their files into my mod. But you don't need Apachii's esp-mod-file because the Hairstyler is actually only using the textures of this mod. It's a pity, but I don't have time anymore to convert the KS Hairdos models and create a new Hairstyler version. But I would be fine with it if there is someone else who has time and fun to do this.

disi; if you are concerned about the difference between the vanilla and Apachii hair textures, try this mod: Superior Lore-Friendly Hair. I use it. It installs HD textures for the vanilla hairstyles, which look much better as a result and the difference with modded hairs is much less pronounced.

Thanks for the reply - I found the styles with missing textures eventually Have made a textures-only version of Apachii in Mod Organiser for use with this mod Superior Lore Friendly hair is very nice, btw, I used to use it, then forgot the name after a reinstall so I've been using AOF Believable Hair which is also good, but maybe not quite as nice. Wondering if it'll work with vanilla hairs covered by this mod...

I am still experimenting. Either way, Vilja sometimes looks gorgeous! IMHO, any hairstyle that doesn't cover too much of her face works.
