The link at nexus to the manual for Kobus Character Advancement System is dead and searches turn up nothing but links to the Oblivion manual. Is this manual still available anywhere? (documentation with the mod barely covers the main menu items, much less other options; in fact the uninstall section mentions deleting files that aren't even mentioned in the install section)

Thanks. But all I see there is:
"This page has been deleted. The deletion and move log for the page are provided below for reference. ... There is currently no text in this page. You can search for this page title in other pages, or search the related logs, but you do not have permission to create this page."

Copy and paste the link...the forum software won't allow that many characters in a link.

Copy and paste the link.... Is that the manual? I had found that earlier, and its vagueness on many points is what sent me looking for the manual. For example, "Because both major and minor skills can be specialization skills, setting specilization skills to a percentage will increase the attribute gain for both. Please be very sure you understand how this works before setting these numbers." Okay, how does it work? especially when followed by, "This allows you to choose what skills count as specialized for the specialization skill leveling method and attribute gain skill percentages. This does not change the bonus to skill gain for your actual specialization skills. You can select all 21 skills, or none. Unselecting all specialization skills in conjunction with specialization skill leveling will stop level progression entirely." One of the Paths Of Destiny "Sets leveling to attribute based and luck to adventuring method.", with no further explanation. Six of the "Optional/Standalone Files" are to go into "Oblivion\Data\menus"; I have no such folder ...should I create it? or is it added by something else? (KCAS lists no other required mods; a major reason I selected it.) I'm reminded of those User Manuals that came with early versions of windows - apparently written by programmers for programmers, everyone else needed a manual to explain the manual. If it weren't for the internet many people would have never deciphered the idiocies of windows.

No....just the closest thing I could see, unfortunately.

Oh well. We both searched and found the same thing, so a fair assumption that's all that's out there now. Kobu is apparently still active on nexus, but a PM to him (her?) a few weeks ago has elicited no response. (And elsewhere the "latest, greatest" contingent has sway - anything not updated on at least a yearly basis is beneath discussion.)
