Several years ago I played early Companion mods such as Laura Craft and the Dome Home. I didn't expect that they would be upgraded and improved. (They were pretty glitchy and simple at the time.) You all have been improving them evidently. Are there any that you recommend for revisiting?

Well, the Dome Home with staff... It has only been released once, in 2005, and if it has any glitches, I'm completely unaware of it.
Laura I feel has a following behaviour which is comparable outdated, even if many of her other features are still unique for her (like levelling by practicing her skills, for instance). If you are used to companions like Julan and Constance, who will warp much faster, you might find her annoying.
If you played ver 1 of White Wolf of Lokken, the following behaviour of the companions is improved in ver 2, so these might be worth trying out again.

The head housekeeper seemed rather snobbish and so I thought she would enjoy a day off at the Hlaalu Manor. I left her there and when I returned she was missing. I couldn't find her back at the Dome Home and just wrote her off. Later we were going up the Foyada Mamaea to Ghostgate. North of the Dwemer bridge a dowdy Dunmer lady was beating up a Kagouti. We got there and it was (of course) our head housekeeper. She proceeded to pound on a Flame Atronach from the nearby Daedric ruin. After she eliminnated the Atronach we interrupted the quest we were on and took her home. It didn't seem like the way the mod was supposed to work, but I will confess that it was one of the funniest experiences I've had playing Morrowind. I played White Wolf of Lokken version 2 with my new Nord without any problems and it's a wonderful mod. I especially enjoyed the Romance option. You did say that WWOL would provide 20 hours of playing time. I played it a lot longer than 20 hours but maybe I'm a little dense. I enjoyed every minute.

LOL, I read that sometimes it can happen with any NPC that is left alone in a different cell:
