They are WIPs and sort of work but interesting.
One of your companions is suddenly up in the PCs face and tries to stay there, all clothing and armor removed. Very weird.
More interesting and fun, fast travel is an Alteration spell. Cast the spell and the Map opens up and you select your destination as you normally would. BUT where you actually go depends upon your skill level. With my PCs Alteration level a hefty 27, she gets zapped anywhere on the map. Worse, the PC map pointer is removed until you go through a transition cell. That translates into hopelessly lost quite often. The screw up factor diminishes to about 10% at Alteration 100. She's still working the bugs out of both.

The Teleport spell is so cool!! When I first tried it (and it worked, pretty buggy still)... Sunny morning outside Lakeview. Decided to go shopping in Falkreath. BLORP! Snowy gloomy hillside outside a cave. I didn't recognize the area at all. Opened the map and no PC pointer. Tried to teleport and got the error message 'You can't fast Travel ...'. So we went stomping. Lost for several minutes. Came across a road. Followed it. Finally recognized a fort in the distance. Oh great. We're near the College of Winterhold. Couldn't fast travel until we entered the Inn in Winterhold.
But it gets worse. I had just restarted ANNA mod and had just picked up Sophia from the stable and Sindra from the college. So I had Andi, Lyra, Sophia and Sindra with only their original armor and weapons with Enhanced Enemies, Occupied Forts and Deadly Dragons running. And I had set everyone not essential. The shopping trip to Falkreath was to pick up smithing supplies. Chaos Princess demands I play the game in the spirit of the mod so I have everyone cringing at the Frozen Heart and a long long walk ahead. The little minx now wants to add that fast travel is blocked off until you return from your original point of departure. Is this even possible? That would mean slogging to Windhelm to catch a wagon as the safest way.
I'd love to incorporate this mod with Inigo and Vilja. They would certainly have some choice comments about the arch mage's abysmal Alteration spell casting abilities.

Tell me Sniffles, do you enjoy being a masochist?

Tell me Sniffles, do you enjoy being a masochist? Lore friendly? Staying within the confines of the spirit of the game. To which someone will immediately yell at me 'scantily clad amazon hell raisers'? How many times has my princess gone hunting in the mountains dressed or undressed much like our little group? The wagons stationed around Skyrim are used how often? We spent over 2 RL years collecting ingredients for potions. Transmuted several tons of iron to become skilled enough to craft valuable trinkets to further our goals. It's all about making the game lore friendly and a challenge, brave new world style. Some things work. Like this: Not sure which mod has marauders invading the cities. A LOT of them. We debated lore friendly. Skyrim and law and order have gone to hell in a bucket. Reavers have moved in to take advantage of the civil war and dragon chaos. So the Dragonborn babe and her band of misfits is taking up the slack. A few minutes ago we went to Whiterun. Checking up on things and asking Aela to come back into the party. All hell cut loose. Maybe 20 bandits. We are obligated to protect the townsfolk. Generic guards are expendable, named NPCs are not. Reload game if any of them die. So we reloaded twice before pulling it off. Definitely need more companions in our group and better weapons. Must severely limit area of effect spells too. Looking like we need about 20 capable companions to adequately protect a major city. The game needs to be able to handle it. The lions share of the work is done by Vilja, thanks to her years with the Dragonbabe, Inigo + Viconia, expert up close and personal melee warriors of years of experience, and M'rissi (nailed a bandit up on a battlement halfway across Whiterun). The rest are pretty useless and definitely need better weapons and magical enhancements. Thus why we are re-recruiting Aela. Have hit Radiant Rainments countless times for those enhancements since doing it ourselves is a MAJOR CHORE. So just about every time we visit a city we are faced with a challenge quite a bit greater than anything the original game tossed out. Heck. Our trip back home after the teleport disaster is more difficult than most of the Dragonborn quest line. So masochist, or just playing the game for all it is worth?

Go on, admit it, you're just like me, tweaking and overloading the game endlessly to see how far you can push things before they break and then try to work out a solution in order to continue. For every hour I play the game these days I spend about a day in the CK and TES5Edit fine tuning things, or truth be told, fixing things some mod I tried out broke, why oh why do some mod authors making appearance enhancing mods for npcs insist on making edits to things that they shouldn't be changing, like changing npc stats, default weapons and combat styles or behaviour packages.......

The mods that drive us nuts are the you must have this and that and that and that and all those need this and this and those over there and three of those need 14 tweaks unless it's Sunday and it's raining then they only need 11. If it isn't right out of the box plug and play, go fix yer stooopid mod! I like the way Emma did and does it. Vilja plug and play. Then when an update occurs, it's major, fixes everything in site and detailed easy instructions are included. Like the most recent one: Just replace this file and done. "Go on, admit it, you're just like me, tweaking and overloading the game endlessly..."No. Pushing the limits yes, tweaking, absolutely not. We have reverted to earlier saves maybe 20 times instead of trying to chase down bugs. We both demand the game starts and runs near perfect each and every time. That is the reason we are fussing with followers so much. We expect them to be like Vilja. Cause game problems, out they go. The only fussing we do is making sure our near vanilla game is working as good as possible. The most major tweak we have done in the past six months is installing Bug Fix after careful deliberation and a full back up. We had problems with Anna NPCs. This was actually a test of our game stability, seeing how many followers before crashing. Wasn't Anna fault but memory issues. Anna does cause some problems but it is a question of knowing the limits. More script heavy, the fewer followers. But all things considered, the game will run all day crash free at any given time. Yesterday it ran for 14 hours. One hiccup 10 minutes in then running or sitting idle, no prob at all. Just installed new faces for all NPCs. Testing. Seems very nice. 4 more companion followers are downloaded and ready to install. Once the last install proves to be bug free we will make another copy of the Data folder and install those four. They must work out of the box and cause no problems or revert and delete. The game must ALWAYS be ready to go without tweaking. Major obkective right now. Protecting all NPCs in any city we visit without player micromanaging. Target is about 16 companions depending on their capabilities. Have enlisted Lydia and Jordis to fill in until we get the newcomers up to speed.

We expect them to be like Vilja. Sadly, there are not many custom followers as well made as Vilja, Inigo being one of the few exceptions and most Vilja fans install Inigo as well. Even a lot of basic vanilla based followers aren't as well made and they often seem to be thrown at the nexus without any testing whatsoever!

In terms of complexity, reliability, and functionality, nothing comes close to Vilja. Ignoring preferences and just taking the entire mod into account. But Vilja doesn't really count. The most recent version is mark III. There is no other follower mod that has had so much time and effort poured in and this shows. Even Laura Craft is a grade or two above the best companion mods made.
