Disabled CyborgArmGun's "Interesting NPCS - 3DNPC - Overhaul-9638-3-0ALPHA" file, deleted Kris Takahashi's original "3DNPC SSE v3.31 Aplha LOOSE FILES with Children Face Hotfix" from NMM, tried to load triptherift's "Interesting NPCs 3.31 SE BSA" in NMM, but installation in NMM choked with an array out of bounds error. Unzipped the 7z file, dropped the 3DNPC.bsa and 3DNPC.esa in my Skyrim Special Edition\Data folder, installed trip's "Interesting NPCs TKAA Patch SE BSA" with NMM (for her The Kids Are Alright mod), reactivated the "Interesting NPCs - 3DNPC - Overhaul-9638-3-0ALPHA" in NMM. Working fine, so far. (Made a backup of my \Data folder first!)
Comment:
While I applaud the work of the team trying to create a none alpha iNPC, I am following the philosopy one one of the people working in it. "If it an't broke done't fix it." The official Alpha works just fine for me so using the new BSA build would be just risking disaster for not much benefit. CyborgArmGun's 3DNPC overhaul gave me blackface so I dumped and returned to my pre-experimental save. If I were installing iNPC new, I would use the new build as it sounds like it is an improvement, but the upgrade scenario is just too risky.

On which chars did you get blackface? As I just now converted to trip's bsa version, I've only ochecked out Rumarin and Zora. Cassock? I haven't looked at him (without his cassock) yet.

Zora. I messed with load order a bit without success. I thought about generating new facegen information but decided I was more likely to mess thing up then fix them. Besides, I had been prefectly content with most of the faces that TCM was giving me with the exception of Rumarin.

Can't locate TCM or "Total Conversion Mod" on Nexus for Skyrim SE for some reason, so not using it. Got a link? I wanted to use TripTheRift's file if I could, for a number of reasons, bless her soul, was happy that seems to have worked A-OK, except not via the Nexus Mod Manager.
