Hi everyone, I'm having this strange issue with Vilja ending up drunk after a drink and not sobering up even after hours and hours. I tried the reset spell, asking her to spar, but nothing seems to work. The only solution I could do was uninstalling and reinstalling but I'd rather find a way to know how to fix this so that I can feel free to give her drinks without worrying about this. Any tips on how to do this? Would be a shame to keep Vilja booze free for the rest of her life. EDIT: after waiting literally for hours inside a test cell that was totally empty with no distractions Vilja managed to get a couple of "...hic!"s out after days, then she became sober as normal. Is it intended for it to take so much time? If she's only getting sober after doing those unprompted "hic"s then when I'm walking around with her she just won't ever sober up because something will always distract her. Is there a way to speed up the process? Thank you for any answers

If you're running a pack of mods, perhaps one is interfering. Do you have ANYTHING that changes Skyrim booze?

Yes I am using CACO but it seems strange that it would be the cause of such behaviour, so you're telling me that talking (as in pressing e to interact with her?) is sobering her up? That never worked for me yet Now I'm scared to have her drink anything xD Seems sad to see sweet Vilja behaving like an alcoholic running around always shitfaced

Don't let Vilja carry your booze; she will drink it.

She has her own code, her own set of instructions and scripts. So if a mod say, effects drinks and getting drunk her timing or sobering up scripts may not recognize that she is drunk or her sobering up may not over-ride the mod drunk effect. Never expect Vilja to function like a vanilla NPC.

Also, if you have any follower management mod, don't add Vilja to their framework, it will, as SmartBlueCat says of his Inigo, "break her brain".
