I have already posted this on the NexusMods forum for the Companion Vilja mod. There are only three forums there, and the last bug didn't seem to get much attention. Vilja on Oblivion is probably the best companion mod there is. Other than this issue, she seems to be working perfectly fine. So she wears her clothes, and then switches to wear her swimwear when swimming. But under her neck, her body is now purple! Then she gets out, puts her cloths back on and all is back to normal. I can see her hands and they are her normal color again. I tried taking all her clothes and seeing her in her underwear to see if she turned purple. Nope. She is her normal color. It only happens when she goes swimming. Someone on the comment section of the Companion Vilja mod on NexusMods also said they had this issue, but they transferred HG EyeCandy Body textures and meshes and it cured Vilja of her purple body swimming issue. But I did the same thing and from several mods, but it did nothing for me. I summoned her = Nothing. I used the spell cure double head issue or double face issue that comes with the mod = Nothing. I am at a loss. If anyone knew how to fix this, I would hope that you guys would. I use OCOv2, and these other mod that go with it: Seamless - OCOv2 www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/45859I started with HG EyeCandy for female bodies, then used OCOv2 which requires a body mod, then I used Seamless OCOv2 which then replaced the bodies of everyone so there are no neck seams. I used the OCOv2 version of Vilja: Almagerds Vilja for OCO under the optional files on the Companion Vilja downloads section. I used the HG Eyecandy textures and mods for Vilja, as well as the seamless version, and nothing has changed. I would really appreciate any help here. Thank you very much for the Mod, Emma. Ryan

Is she purple whenever wearing the swimming suit or only when in the water? If the former I suspect a texture issue with the suit, if the latter it may be an arcane vid driver issue caused by dealing with the water transparency.

When she is in her swimsuit and swimming. Which is sort of always when she is in the water. I guess not if it is shallow and she can walk through the water though. Well, I have the latest patch from my video driver. I have noticed ship banners being purple and turning purple and less purple when you look at them moving or not. I'm not certain what direction I should pursue then. This thread over at the Nexus Forums believe that a purple color means a missing mesh. forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/9405043-oblivion-purple-graphics-bugs/Where would I find her swimsuit? I am not sure how to look into the Companion Vilja .BSA file.

I think this should be somehow copied to fix this in the future for anyone who needs it. So I found out a way to fix it. Apparently Seamless OCOv2 (Fixes neck seam issues from OCOv2) uses HG EyeCandy as well. But may not have been the same exact body type that I chose. Perhaps the error was here. I went back and had a good reread of the description page at the Seamless OCOv2 mod, and found that there were two versions of it. I originally installed the normal looking Bain version that is on the top. Apparently there is an easier to use Idiots version (literally called Idiots version) that was also meant to go with another seamless mod by the same author that fixes the funny shaped head of Argonians and Khajiits. The Idiots version is just below the BAIN version on the download list.
So I reinstalled this mod over the first seamless install without any uninstallation, and then added in the Argonians and Khajiits mod with it. Then as you all should know, I used Wrye Bash (as everyone should for Oblivion) and BOSS to sort the load order, otherwise it looked like there would be a conflict since they were in red. Make sure you check them off on the list of mods in Wrye Bash first, before using BOSS which is the load order sorter. Then the red was gone in the list, and all seemed well.
I went into the game, and talked to Vilja and asked her how her skill progress is going, then went into options. I also did a hard look at what you can do with Vilja in the game, from Emma's instruction manual. I saw that you could change her swimsuit, and I even considered using the option to not change into the swimsuit. But then chose the swimsuit, and went with the HG EyeCandy version, and chose the color, and then went into the water, and she walked in and it worked! She kept her normal skin color for the first time when she changed into her swimsuit!
Okay. So if someone else needs an answer for this, please have this explanation available. It worked for me, and I do not know how, because I literally went into textures/characters/Vilja and reinstalled her textures and nothing happened. So it obviously was done in some other way to correct it. Anyways, I probably needed to know that she even had another model for her swimsuit. Wherever that may be in the Data folder, it's a mystery to me! So jgf, you did steer me in the correct direction. Thank you.

Glad you got it sorted out. As it was explained to me, once you start mixing different bodies and different clothing you can hit a situation where the body expects the clothing to supply a particular texture and the clothign expects the body to supply the texture... so no texture is applied and you see the base color of the 3D model.
As for vid drivers, often with transparencies in older games they can react oddly, could be the driver or just a setting. Some games give the option of running in DVD or OGL, often changing this eliminates the problem.

And sometimes texture colors can get reassigned then embedded in saved games. As in my FO4 where the green glow of objects in workshop mode is permanently attached to certain textures. A scantily clad Cait with a new sculpted body wielding a hermaphrodite gatling combat shotgun glowing an eerie ghostly green in the darkness is disconcerting to say the least.

In this case it is the texture paths having the exact address listed rather than the truncated version that causes the purple skin. So unless the Oblivion install is in the exact location as the original, it will show as purple. This requires a bit of Nifskope knowledge and such to fix.
