Having played Morrowind for many a year now, one feature I find sorely missing in Oblivion is the possibility to dispose of corpses. I mean, they're just piling up everywhere and it's a real eyesore (and dragging a boar into a ravine out of sight takes damn well all day!). Now, in morrowind I typically use the actual 'dispose of corpse' button on creatures, but not on people (since that would automatically take all their posession, including clothes... ) Instead I opened the console and used the 'disable' function. I find that is possible in Oblivion as well, but I am loathe to use it on randomly spawning (and presumably respawing) creatures and bandits. Anyone got any ideas what might be done to solve the problem afore all of Cyrodiil is flooded with corpses? -A.

Wait 72 game hours in another non-adjacent cell.

My favorite Magic Overhaul is Less Annoying Magic Experience (LAME) and it has a "Dispose Corpse" "magic". The problem is that some bodies can't be disposed and your game will crash if you use that "magic" (examples, quest items bodies, essencial guys unconscious). Anyway, if you're interested in checking the mod, I attached a link.

Aha. I figured there'd be some sort of timed removal, but as I use a mod to set a more reasonable timescale (1:10 outside, 1:1 in combat, etc...) 72 hours is a *long* time - hence I was finding highwaymen killed by guards all over the place as I travelled from one town to the next.
Thanks for the link, Marek, I'll check the mod out.

What mod do you use to alter the timescale, Aidan? I have one that does so manually, but...
As for me, I use Supreme Magicka, which has alot more than just dispose corpse (Teleportation, anyone? Blink spell in the IC). It also alters magick, making it difficult to use invisibility if an opponent has a spell called "Detect Life"..... Also a file name bgmagickaev or something like that. Don't remember exactly what it is, tho...

Nice tip, golddragon, I think I didn't try Supreme Magicka because it requires OBSE and, in that time, I didn't use it. But now I'm a user and my bro felt in love with a video with some of the new spells. Just to make life easier, a link to the page of the mod in TESNexus. Anyway, I still love LAME. =3

You have to be extremely careful, because this totally eliminates an NPC or object throughout the game... I use the console with the 'disable' command. (click on NPC or object, type DISABLE and hit enter- GONE!) It (they) are gone forever! I use this on Arnora's body and claim ownership of her cabin. (It bothers me to see her there with her eyes open throughout the game....)
