First of all, I LOVE this mod. The fully fleshed out person that has become my companion makes my jaw hit the floor with some of the things she says and how appropriate they are. (like specifically mentioning the adventurer that I accidentally killed in a dungeon, triggering the DB...I was floored!)
I saw mention of Wolfgang in the readme and wondered what this was. I saw some pictures of the wolf in the screenshots and tried to search for a separate mod for it. Is it something buried inside this mod or is it a discontinued mod?
Also, I can't seem to find the right dialog to have her ride her horse. Does it only appear once I finally get a horse for myself?
Once again, thank you for such a fantastic mod. I look forward to the inevitable Skyrim version with probably even better follower features.

You will meet Wolfgang eventually while playing "Companion Vilja" mod.
The dialog to make her riding is the one at the bottom of her main list "why don't your ride?". You may need to scroll down the list until it appear.

You may need to scroll down the list until it appear. I don't have it. My bottom dialog at the main screen is "Want to relax here for awhile?" My main screen shows no mention of horses on any dialog. That's why I thought maybe I needed to progress in her quest, or maybe I needed to climb on a horse once...

The bottom dialog "Want to relax here for a while?" only appears if Vilja is in an interior. So obviously you must be with her in an interior in your game. There is no riding option while she is in a house. It would be very unusual to mount a horse in the living room, don't you think so? Just go outside in the open and she will have the dialog option "Why don't you ride?" at the bottom of the list if you scroll right down as Amgepo said already. If you mount a horse, Vilja will automatically summon her horse Bruse, mount him and follow you. Follow Vilja's questline and you will most certainly run into Wolfgang. But it will take some time.
