Started a new game and now using the witchgirl adventure mod. I asked before on the old forum if it would conflict with Abu Manor and got the response it doesn't. Indeed, i get no errors or so. However, the first time i visited Morgana and then wanted to deal with those rats in her house i saw that the door of the house is half buried in the ground. And inside the house, in the basement, i saw some floating skulls in the air. Is this normal? I thought first it has to do something with abu manor and redated the witchgirl mod to load after abu manor, but nothing changed. The door is still half buried in the ground.

Been a while since I played this but I think the floating skulls are intentional. As for the exterior door, I don't recall.

As blockhead stated, I believe also that the floating skulls are intentional, however, I myself don't recall ever having a problem with any doors. I played that mod many times too. Strange.

The exterior door isnt normally half buried, it must be a mod conflict. I'm not sure what you mean with floating skull, but if it is what I think, you will soon get an explanation.

If it is a mod conflict, then i wonder which one. Could it be the Poorly Placed Object fix by Slartibartfast? I use that one, version 1.2.

If it is a mod conflict, then i wonder which one. Could it be the Poorly Placed Object fix by Slartibartfast? I use that one, version 1.2. Could be ... hard to tell ... Morrowind can be very picky about mods and mod load order. My suggestion (and this is a pain I know), but uncheck all the mods, except "Witchgirl" and re-add your mods one at a time ... this way you can tell for certain which one is the culprit. Mind you though ... you'll get lots of error messages when doing this ... you might want to start a new game if your not too far into your current one. Good Luck.

Well, i have tested a bit and checked out some mods. It was not poorly placed object fix, as the problem still occurred while not loading that one. Caldera cottage was it not and kayleigh's retreat also not. It was the one mod which i had asked before if it would conflict and which i got the response in the witchgirl questions and spoilers thread that it would not. Abu Manor that is. I tried without loading Abu Manor and now the door was appearing normal. So they do conflict. Well that's great. And i really like to use Abu Manor. So what now. Playing without Abu Manor is out of the question.

Well... at least you found the culprit. Bummer you can't use Abu Manor however.

Oh, i will use it. As said; playing without it is no option. By the way, the interior is not affected. So that leaves to a few options: 1) keep playing in the current way and accept the situation 2) try to move the house a bit in the CS. don't know if that helps 3) hope for a fix (although the chance that this comes is just as big as winning the lottery) 4) don't use one or the other. which is not a real solution
don't know if there are more options to tackle this problem.

Moving it somewhat should for the door.. or lowering the landscape around it a little in the CK.
Interiors if conflicting, make a new cell ID and link door to them.

Agreed to #2. That'll fix the problem pronto, and is the easiest solution.

I fixed the problem myself by fiddle a couple of times in the CS. I have moved the house more to the right from where it stood first, now right between the skar and the temple. Also lifted the house and the door up, as moving alone doesn't work. Door is now a little bit buried, but not half anymore. It's now much better then before. Used the ConstructionSet 6 or 7 times i think before i got the result. Got also a few crashes. CS can be a real bitch sometimes.

Morrowind IS a very touchy game when it comes to mods period. I recall taking off a mod once years back and all hell broke loose. So bad, I had to start a new game.
Cool you got it workin' though.

Morrowind IS a very touchy game when it comes to mods period. Touchy? Hardly the word I'D use. Still, it's loads better than Skyrim....

I wanted to say somethin' else 'bout the CS for Morrowind, but it would have included a lot of swear words. And Skyrim ... yes ... I've heard the game is very buggy.
