Short for 'Image' in this case.

To reduce the file size, you have to convert your screenshot in a different format. Open your screenshot with MSPaint or any other graphics software you like/use. On the menu bar click File > Save as... - Choose the Save as type click the drop arrow, and choose Jpeg. - Choose the save to location as the Desktop. - Click Save. In order to post images, you first need to upload your screeny to a free image hoster like ImageShack or any other of your choice. Just google for free image uploads. For this tutorial I chose directupload.net Once you have your picture hosted on the web you will need the URL of the image. See next picture... To display the picture inside your post copy the Hotlink-URL and place it between img-tags using BBCode as Emma showed you. Or do it like this...

An alternative to the free image hosts out there is the members gallery we have at the HoT. All members who sign up to the Hall of Torque have their own gallery where they can upload their pictures, one or up to five at a time. There are three options to post your shots (copy and paste the desired link) -- thumbnail, half-size or full-size. You can arrange your gallery as you wish with categories and subcategories. And if you require help, an admin is seldom far away.
The choice is yours.

Thank you, angelis, for the detailed and helpful post.
Though this next bit will make things a little more complicated for the poster, it saves on bandwidth for everyone reading ... [url=http://www.somplace.org/full_sized_pic.jpg][img]http://www.someplace.org/thumbnail.gif[/img][/url]
I do it this way so that only the thumbnail loads and the full pic is then loaded only if the reader clicks on the thumbnail.
