Vilja´s secret lair? Where? I know those hidden chests beneath some trader´s houses. Is this something similar?
Yesterday I had my char traveling with Vilja from Riverwood to Whiterun, just to let her have her will to take the lead for once. She seemed quite happy and sang along. I think, I heard some parts of "Solveig´s Song" from the "Peer Gynt Suite" by Edvard Grieg, right? Great!!!

Sorta, yes, similar to the mostly unreachable hidden chests underneath places for vendors. But Vilja's chests are hidden in...umm, well, void (the best description I can come up with).
Out of the entire Peer Gynt opus, I only know the morning (suite 1, first movement). Time to brush up on my symphonic/orchestral music.
Speaking of music, it would be fantastic if I could hear Emma hmms the theme melody of the Jupiter movement in Holst's The Planets. www.youtube.com/watch?v=83J68Y7Z1nk (the melody I talked about starts 23:12)
Or the melody from Harry Gregson Williams' Smiling www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCFB-s2-Pkc

The Peer Gynt suite was my entry into classical music, later on widening into baroque and renaissance music, mostly classical guitar which is my lifelong passion (actively playing since more than 30 years). Since I am just as far as Vilja confessing her love to my char, I guess I will still find the void. If not, I do not want to kill immersion by cheating. In this scene, I once again had a good chuckle: I wonder what bonehead will choose the option "Let´s just go and kill something." Hopefully none!

I just had a strange kind of experience: Vilja and my char had escorted Esbern to Riverwood and left the inn again to get some rest at their home: Riverside Lodge. At about 11:00 PM, there were some intense yellow-greenish northern lights in a clear sky and Vilje remarked very fittingly how very beautiful this looked. This time she did not have her amiable soft scandinavian accent, but sounded more something of a native speaker, at a lower pitch of voice than usual. Anybody experienced this too?

I've never heard that mewgull, Vilja has always sounded just like Emma in my game. *shrug*

Yeah, I also thought this to be rather unusual, but I just had the idea there is a very simple explanation: Got Eurydice, another female follower tagging along with Vilja and my char. As the script for Viljs changes quite a lot of the standard follower dialogies, I guess she was the one to utter the comment at this moment as it would fit her usual voice. Problem is: Skyrim is so "alive", you can´t replay the same situation exactly the same way twice.
For me, this closes the case.

I've mentioned in other posts that when I've taken Lydia out with Vilja as a change from her two regular friends, there hasn't been anywhere near the amount of chat or singing between them as with the regulars. I've theorised that the more time a follower spends with Vilja the more chat there will be, so I decided to see what would happen if Lydia spent more time with Vilja. I also added Jordis, because Angelina has the same voice as Lydia and Junie has the same as Jordis. It has taken a while, but I think my theory is being proven. At first there were relatively few conversations except for Vilja's talks with my character, but things are now starting to change. There's now a lot more chat between Lydia and Vilja. Jordis, being a newcomer, is lagging behind but more conversations with her are starting to happen too. Of course I'm also getting their unique dialogues too. In this pic, Lydia and Vilja are discussing diets. Vilja of course hopes there's a sweetroll one!

I am seeing more interaction between Vilja and the stand-alone followers I use. Tauriel and Aranya have similar interaction as Vilja and Lydia. Cerwiden and Nadina have less but Ceri has a lot with me. Nadina has been off on her own for a while so will have to go get her and do some experimenting on that. The newer follower mods are doing a better job interacting with other mods. One key might be how long you leave Vilja and others relaxing in your home while your gone. I did let Tauriel go for about a month game time and just asked her back. I did see direct conversations with Vilja as we are preparing to head out to fight Alduin. I do need to get the rest of the Thane quests done, consolidation of power again. I'd like to see how the interactions with vanilla followers might differ from Villja. Aranya uses the "Commanders" voice, nice change, so will pay attention to see if there is differences in how Vilja reacts to her. I'm thinking it might be interesting to leave a specific follower to follow Vilja and leave them at rest for a week then switch to see if there are subtle differences.

Seyheb, what is that in Lydia's Shield hand? Also, what clothing / dresses are those 3 girls wearing, especially Vilja. Thanks Mate!

I use the UNP body for all three girls as I consider it the most realistic. Vilja’s green Wilderness outfit is from the Misfit Mage set: This has a zero armour rating, which is necessary for clothing in the wardrobe system of course. The two girls are wearing Farmer’s Minidresses (x-light) from TWA44’s Minidresses for UNP Standalone. Lydia is wearing a blue one and Jordis a green one. Apart from looking nice, I didn’t want these two fairly powerful girls (they are more powerful than my Vilja) to be too strongly protected, though these dresses do have a good armour rating when improved. Their green stockings (not visible in the above pic) are from the Princess of the Woods for UNP set. These also have a decent armour rating when improved. Originally I tried various trousers, but ran into too many clipping problems around the waist. I didn’t use the Misfit stockings because they have no armour rating. I've also used the green POTW armour instead of the minidresses, though I prefer the Farmer’s Minidresses. The shield is from the Dreamcaster set. All three girls carry an unenchanted one. P.S. for Vilja's winter wardrobe I use the same Misfit Mage clothes as her Wilderness one, but also with a green cloak and the vanilla Fine Cloak, which is really only a shoulder wrap. Sometimes I also add a fur collar from the Princess of the Woods set to the other girls' outfits (usually the white one). It fits quite well with the Farmer's Minidresses.

Thanks so much Seyheb, I'll add all of this into my new game, once Vilja is updated.

Uh, oh! Vilja accused me of staring at Lydia and asked me if I liked her! I better be very careful!
