[WIP] City of Yarwich - The Big City Project

Alpha 2
A Huge City Project.

After a long time coming we are very happy to be able to release our second big Alpha.

In here you will now find over 200 homes waiting to be furnished.

This is where we would like you to come in...
We know very few are in a position to make a long term commitment
to a very large project such as this.

What we would like is for you to furnish these home though
and send them to us for inclusion.
You will also find 100's of new items for you to do this with.

Your only commitment to the project...
Is to furnish one home at a time!

These we will then package up and made available to everyone as we get enough for a release.
We will also include new interiors added by full project members as we go.
Obviously everyone will be credited with their own work.

We do have a few simple rules for you to follow in this regard though.

As always though we are still looking for modders to join the Big City Project
Not just for interiors... we have plenty of other stuff that needs doing.
If you are interested then just let us know.

Having now made our second big Alpha release...

And given that we are now going to turn the main focus towards the project's NPC’s and their clothing and personal items to make them more in keeping with the real feel we are after….
Victorian, Gothic, Steam Punkish...

Gone will be Armour and Medieval style clothes. Gone in general will be swords, bows and arrows and shields.
Magic and probably daggers will still be there, of course, but also expect to see new weapons, pistols and muskets; though definitely not AK47’s, light sabres or BFG’s.

But this also means we feel we are now definitely at a point where we can and should start to develop our City's many story lines.
We do have a bit of a backstory to the City and quite a lot of ideas of things that could happen though…
and with a city this size there is plenty of scope for practically anything to happen.

So we once again we need your help.

Can you spin a good yarn ?
Write a good story?
Come up with interesting plots?
or just like to write conversation topics.

Do you want to be in on the ground floor helping to develop the “City of Yarwich” into a living breathing metropolis?
Then please let yourself be known to us!

If you also know how to get those stories in to the game then that is a bonus but not a necessity.
The one thing to bare in mind though when writing for a game such as Morrowind is that you are not just writing a story it is more like you are actually writing a play.

The important part is the story and the characters; especially the characters.
What might start out as a small, one-time quest character could easily turn into a major player.
That could all be down to you.

Going to try for help on a different track

So okay... Is there anyone out there who can help us with quest writing...

I'm about to start writing our main quest line but with a city the size of Yarwich there is room for almost anything story wise.
We are not looking just for ideas though... but need at least fairly well developed stories lines to work with.... characters and plots etc... or the ability and willingness to develop it from just an idea with us.

So come on... we all have at least one quest in us we'd really like to see in game

There are several I would love to see in this game, involving some characters I created.. who are strange... what kind of guidelines are there?

None really only that it fits in with our city... which is more Victorian/Steam Punkish than Morrowindish/Medieval.
and I like the sound of strange characters... if they really are that strange we do have an Asylum as well

If you've not already done so... then I'd recommend you download it to see if your ideas would fit.
There is also the recommendation that we work with you from a very early stage to help the development go in the right direction.
