So I d/L one and installed and Viljas hair is now iridescent blue. Can someone throw me at a good hair mod please so I can loose this awful blue thing.

You have to install the 1.5 full version of Apachii for it to work. That's what the hairstyler is built on. Blue hair means the textures are missing.

Wow Colin that's fast! I have the 1.5 installed in my mods but how do I get one onto Vilja. The one I did is from Vilja's mod page dated 2013 style No . Putting them in the mod folder won't put one on her??

Ok, are you talking about the Hairstyler mod, or a Vilja addon? The addons are a completely different animal. You will need to follow the instructions included with each addon.
The hairstyler is just a spell that places hair in her inventory that she will wear. The addons are actual changes to her. ( they of course won't hurt her, as when you remove the add-on she will be her old self again)

Please note that Apachii has one main mod and then several additional hairstyles as optional files. Many of Vilja's optional hairstyles require not Apachii's main mod but one of the additions. Check the readme for the Vilja add-on to see what is required. If the correct Apachii mod isn't installed, Vilja will end up with purple hair (no texture).

When I try to use it my game locks up and I have to use Task Manager to get back to desk top. It wont work on self nor Eryniel. So, not at all It's the best hair mod!!

Ah, well you may need to grab some optional files. If I read it correctly you will in addition need to grab the optional file from Apachii's mod ApachiiSkyHairFemale_v_1_3.
But Wolf will need to clarify. I am running an older version of Hairstyler.

I take it that your game runs without any problems without a new installation of The Hairstyler? 1. Please make sure to uninstall The Hairstyler completely. The easiest way to do this is actually to install it again manually and immediately afterwards right-click somewhere on the desktop and select "undo copying" (I hope this is the command. I'm using a German Windows version) 2. Then your game should start without any further ado. Play or skip the time for three days so that all informations in the game about The Hairstyler get erased. 3. Then install The Hairstyler again. 4. Make sure that you have this ApachiiSkyHair files installed: ApachiiSkyHair v_1_5: www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/download/1000112412This is the only version you need. Otherwise you won't have the textures and get purple hair. Finally let me express my utmost respect to you on how you manage to handle the computer. You are an absolute exception compared to all the people of your generation I know.

Wolf thank you for all that. My apachi hair is already 1.5 full. Yes the games runs ok and I've just added Eryniel, who with expanded dialogue would be brilliant, She is a very good compatriot for Vilja and they do converse as far as Eryniel can go. when I uninstall I run Tess edit, Boss and then Loot. I shall try this re install of the 'Hairstyler'and I presume you mean activate it also then then undo copying etc Will let you know the result. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On a different matter, how many people do you know of 125? I'm only 79 Thanks anyway. I did live in Germany for some years in Bad Fallingbostel which is about an hours drive north from Hannover airport. Very difficult to learn much German as everyone wanted me to speak english with them This is where I shall live when the lottery come good for me.

There ARE no people of 125 :)But if, I presume they must have a profound IT knowledge . But I know a 90 year old one who claims to be my father and he treats the computer mouse as if it would be a real one. He was incredibly resistent to all my efforts to convey to him the advantages of computing but he never ever touched a keyboard because he grew up with using levers and not pressing keys. We had already a British play-tester from Bad Fallingbostel some years ago. And of course I know Fallingbostel. Was hit there by a car with four young girls from behind.

Hello Wolf. Tried your suggestions. No better results. Ilooked all through data to see if I could find Vilja under textures or meshes, looked all through. IAm going to have to restart and go through again witht Beata if I can't get rid of this awful blue hair. And we just got married as well. I did wonder if there i8s another hair mod which will directly affect Vilja, so as to be able to carry on. ............................................................................................................................ Now Wolf, I did wonder how you knew I was an older guy, I'm actually 79 but a lifetime of hiking up and down mountains, weekends walking around 15/20 miles. Camping, which I still do, Still do voluntary work with old people. Plenty of sign language Of course 12 years in the army helped as well.Malaya, Canada, Osnabruck in the 5os, delivering a baby on a settee. my youngest son, he's now in Afganistan still.I am thinking about slowing down now. I guess I'm ok full mobility, and hopefully all my brain still works. Falli is a beautiful little village/town? badly hit by all the Brits going home. Never got to the Hartz Mountains though.
