Is there some way to get Tindra to back down her combat reactions a little bit?
Typical example. Yesterday we were mooching around Falskarr when we barged right into a bandit hold. Everything worked quite well at first. Sindra, Vilja and the PC used bows quite effectively. Then out jumps Tindra with her butter knife and charges the enemy lines.
Everything instantly went to hell in a bucket. Instant chaotic melee. Tindra took an arrow from the PC and Sindra and ended up crouching while four bandits royally whomped her. Sindra did a very credible flanking maneuver and Vilja charged with her sword to rescue Tindra.
That was rather classic. Vilja did her Cuisinart-grim reaper thing, Sindra methodically took out a sniper and went hunting for another one, and PC was relegated to shooting each of the four bandits hacking on Tindra in turn, stunning them momentarily, enabling Vilja to wreak unholy carnage.
But it would have been nicer to give Tindra a firm instruction to sit on her hands. She's wearing out the immortality/essential scripts in the game engine! And upon being rescued, she stands up and says, 'This is so fun!'. Excuse me? A little more in theme would be nice, or is Tindra programmed masochist with a death wish?

The way Tindra was originally scripted if you were attacked by anything tougher than a Rabbit she would literally run for the hills. Forever. Anyway don't let Idegun know that you were taking Tindra into Bandit fights while babysitting. I think we did change something about her a little while back ( I use the term WE loosely, I have nothing to do with it ), to keep her out of fights. But I will need to go through the notes.
Edit: Nope, my mistake, A.I. changes and dialogues were done, but nothing about fighting. I will add the suggestion to the WIP section, it's a good one.

If you folks wanted to add some flavor to the Vilja mod, script in Idegun finding out Tindra has been in battles, skooma dens, doing all nighter drinking sessions with Vilja at the inns, and trying to carve her initials on a mammoth. By the way, why is Tindra acquiring equipment? Vilja picked up some arrows recently and now Tindra is going around with a quiver on her back.

She automatically acquires them. It is the way she is scripted. Give her or Sindra a bow, they will both do it.

Okay, just follow me on this. You meet up again with Idegun at the Windpeak Inn after towing Tindra around for a while.
Tindra goes running to her mom. "Oh Mom! I had the mostest fun! We went chasing bandits and trolls and bears and wolves and even a dragon! And went skinny dipping in a lake with slaughterfish! And met some vampires! And some daugr! And Vilja taught me how to skin a mammoth! I want to learn how to ride a horker like she does!"
Idegun: "You did WHAT??"
A 3 second cutscene of a nuclear explosion and rising mushroom cloud.
PC and Co. find themselves outside the inn and Vilja quickly suggests, "I think southern Skyrim is very nice this time of year. Say, Falkreath. Maybe even move in with Angi for a year or two?"

Can you ride horkers in Skyrim? I remember the horkers in Bloodmoon (Morrowind). They were so cute.

Dialog option for exchanging stuff on Tindra's inventory is missing. Is this intended? How to get her better armor or outfit and weapons etc. ?

If that dialog is missing (I forget), you could try in the console: click on her, then type: openactorcontainer 1, exit the console, the do the inventory transfers you want.

Tindra comes with a default outfit that cannot be changed by normal means. What I did to get around this is that I got an in-game body changer and changed her body.
