I am sure this has nothing to do with Vilja, but I am posting the question here because of the knowledgeable players who might be able to give me some guidance. I am having problems with the wood chopping animation. My character equips the woodcutting axe and initiates chopping on a wood block. The chopping animation plays only once and no firewood is harvested. Vilja chops wood just fine. I have the latest Fore animations (V.5.2) as well as his female walk animation. I have no other mods which affect animation to my knowledge. The only DLC I have is Dragonborn. I have noticed this issue since installing that DLC and have also noticed that my character occasionally goes into a "T" pose when moving forward. This does not last long and his regular running/walking animation resumes soon. I have no clue as to what is causing either the woodchopping failure or the "T" pose or whether those two are connected.

Since wood chopping works flawlessly with the vanilla game and all DLCs, the answer seems obvious. Untick your animation mod and try again. It sounds like the mod maker might have tested it without the DLC loaded but that's besides the issue. If I can't break the wood chopping animation, and goddess knows I've tried, it's impervious to ordinary stupidity. Has to be a mod doing it.

As it turned out, Fore's work had nothing to do with the issue. I loaded a different character with the same load-out and the chopping worked fine. I then reloaded the "new" character and the chopping magically began to work again.
