Hey all, I've been working on a tutorial video for the past couple of weeks to help out people with installing Morrowind mods, since there's a lot of different types of mods out there and it's easy to get confused about how to install a certain kind of mod. I thought it was especially important to cover a lot of the basics to getting started with modding Morrowind in a single video since, as the last Steam sale demonstrated, a lot of people who pick up Morrowind just don't know anything about installing Morrowind mods and frequently make the same mistakes over and over, flooding many of the forums out there with the same issues that are, usually, easy to fix and prevent. Anyway, I thought I'd share this tutorial video here, along with links to all of the utilities and written tutorials used in the video, just in case anyone needs it. Did Bethesda do their homework when making these games knowing they would be modded?
Hope the next Elder Scrools doesn't use this stupid sorting system. Should be able to just paste files in and be done with it,what a joke!

I must have registry entries crashing my game.
I finally got my modded install working for theintro movie at least, then I gotten texture errors, then the inevitable CTD..
Pulling hair out, depressed on too much caffeine.
I really want to play this in all it's glory.
It has to be the worst game when modded for crashing in the history of gaming.

It might be worth trying OpenMW as the engine on which to run Morrowind. Whilst it still has a few bugs, and lacks a few features, I've found it a lot more stable than the vanilla game. And it supports installing different mods into different directories, which makes it rather easier to add/remove mods without too many side-effects. It's not quite ready yet, but it's close. Uninstalled Morrowind and deleted the Morrowind folder as the overhaul mod is loaded with ctds. Hopefully open mw fixes these issues.
